Updated!!! It took about 4 days for my dealer to receive the steering stabilizer. Took the dealer less than 30 minutes in and out the door. It drives great. You can feel a difference. More dampening for sure. Tried to go over all the pot holes on the way home. It is fixed.
Besides the shudder in the steering wheel over potholes, etc. how would you describe any play in the steering wheel and / or wandering, pre and post new steering stabilizer?

I started noticing a wobble/shimmy a couple weeks ago when driving over a bridge on I-75 only one (1) mile from FCA HQ in Auburn Hills MI.
Checked out this thread tonight after watching a video piece on a local Detroit station warning about this issue.
Thanks much to all of you who contributed your knowledge and wisdom.
I’m at 7080 miles so that is consistent with many other owners’ stories. Snapped this pic tonight X092 so I’m in the club. Note the long vertical scratch next to the X.
I’ll be calling and texting this pic to my dealer’s service department Wednesday morning. @JeepCares
Update:
Service manager, Ralph, called me within 10 minutes of my text going to my salesman at Szott Chrysler Jeep in White Lake, MI. I was able to get there by 1:30 and he already had a 2D manual Sahara JK loaner reserved for me.
He confirmed the part is on backorder but another dealer had 5-6 in stock and was willing to send it over. He will also take care of any other outstanding issues like CC. Said my welds are okay.

So I recommend getting this checked out while some parts are still floating around to avoid having to wait for the back orders to clear. Will update again when completed.

Took my Rubicon to the dealer yesterday afternoon and provided the star case number. Got it back this afternoon with a new stabilizer/damper. Seems to have fixed the issue.

Heard back from the dealer (3rd time in, with new stabilizer installed on 2nd visit)... Basically engineering said a few things,
-it's natural for solid front axle vehicles to do that (dealer told me mine was not normal)
-its been deemed safe to drive (possibly but I don't feel safe)
-they basically don't have a fix and did nothing to fix it since I brought it in and to return to customer.

Said 'released and not resolved' several times.

Happy with my dealer... FCA, not so much.

We'll see what happens from here...

Having same issue. JL, new in June, 6500 miles on it now. First noticed it Nov. 2 when I thought I got a flat tire (going 70MPH on freeway), I started to pull over and the wobble went away. It's happened numerous times since then, feels like it's getting worse. Happened today, worst wobble yet, going just 55MPH. I didn't slow down for about 5 seconds to see if the wobble would continue and it did...didn't stop till I took my foot off the gas. Will be calling dealer in AM - glad to see some here have found a fix. Hoping it's just that simple!

It seems like FCA can debate if this is a safety issue or not, at least until someone dies from the wobble. But FCA certainly can not debate the effect of the wobbling on all the steering related bushings and joints. High frequency violent oscillations left and right put abnormal stresses on all those parts causing premature wear, which further increases the wobbling events which increase the rate of the wear and tear. I doubt if FCA would win a class action lawsuit aimed at this point and seeking relief with an extended warranty for all involved parts.

Imagine if you put an electric motor on the steering system that intentionally simulated the wobble, and then all the steering parts wore out needing replacement. Do you think FCA would say that the vehicle was designed to handle those wobbling forces and sure, we will be happy to rebuild your steering system for you at no cost? Heck no, they would say that your electric motor caused the vehicle to experience conditions it was not designed for, and that warranty would not be covering the repairs.

Besides FOX 2.0 Performance Series IFP Steering Stabilizer Part no: FOX-985-24-173 and Rough Country N3, what other steering stabilizers are out there that don't require a relocation bracket? I just want the "remove two bolts, install the same two bolts back" type of steering stabilizer (like the Fox 985-24-173 and the Rough Country N3). Non-lifted 2018 JLU Rubicon.

Just took mine in. The issue showed up at 13,500 miles. It isn't terrible, but becoming consistent at 55-59 mph. My dealer ordered a new stabilizer but said it might be a long time.

How much $$ does the Fox 2.0 cost?

The one I ordered was the Tereflex Falcon Nexus 2.2 adjustable. Direct bolt on and you can adjust the settings on it. Its more expensive than the Fox, but its gotten great reviews.

I believe that one is more than 2 bolts to deal with on the install though. I'm not worried about the price, I want the simpler OE style install (2 bolts to deal with only, no removing other parts to get to parts like the Nexus 2.2 install video shows).

I have this one and love it!! I replaced my track bar and control arms with Metalcloak also. My bad death wobble issues are gone for now.

It was a super easy install. The video wants you to move the track bar out of the way by unbolting the left side but we didn’t have to do that to get mine on.

Did you need any special tools that might not be found in the average tool box?
