Add me to this list. I installed the Mopar lift right after I bought my Jeep. I had many problems at 7,000 miles and so I replaced it with Metalcloak. I'm now at 25,000 miles and still so happy I made the change.
I have a 2018 JLUR that was built in March and I took delivery in May 2018. I installed the Mopar 2" lift and 37" K02 tires at 500 miles. After starting as a small shimmy and quickly escalating, I had full death wobble at 7,000 miles after having zero issues up until that point.
At that time...
I had this happen on my 2015 Grand Cherokee. A car ahead of me was exiting the freeway on an offramp but my car assumed he was slowing down in front on me and slammed on the brakes on the freeway. I turned if off and never used it again after that. I like the feature but that one incident...
I was running the Mopar lift with 37" KO2s beginning in May 2018. I began having severe death wobble in August/September at 7,000 miles. The dealership at that time told me it was impossible on the new Jeeps and refused to acknowledge it. They finally came out with the TSB to replace the...
@Greenie I had a very similar experience two weeks after I got my Jeep in May. It had to be towed to the dealership after all the lights and wipers went nuts and then the entire thing shut down. After a week at the dealership, they found the bus bar was bad. Once that was replaced, all was...
I’m having the same problem with my new Tazer and the Uconnect App. I’ve had my Jeep since May and use the app to start my Jeep remotely all the time. I got the Tazer JL for Christmas and it has completely rendered my app useless. It won’t update the info and none of the remote options work...
I don’t have it and mine was built in March. Weird how I can still go off-road without it so not hard pressed to bug the dealership or Jeep Cares about it. :cwl::like:
Yes, I had the Mopar lift installed at 500 miles with 37” KO2s. The death wobble started small at 7,500 miles and got bad quick. I had everything checked for wear and torque, an alignment, and the tires balanced/rotated twice with no improvement. So we replaced the control arms and track bar...
Yes, mine started in September when it was in the mid 70s here. And it was not a small wobble but full death wobble when I hit a bump/pothole at any speed above 45 mph that required me to stop.
No special tools needed. Full disclosure... I have the Metalcloak track bar and didn’t need to move that to install. I can’t confirm if moving the OEM track bar is required. I didn’t want to mislead on that.
It was a super easy install. The video wants you to move the track bar out of the way by unbolting the left side but we didn’t have to do that to get mine on.
I had this happen back in June after having my Jeep for only two weeks. I was luckily close to home when the “shut down soon” wanting cane on and once I got in my driveway everything went haywire. Lights, dash, wipers all were flashing and on and then everything went dead. I had to have it...
