Have new 2025 Wrangler. I turn it Off when I start jeep. Dealer said it will affect life of aux battery. Anyway to turn it off completely?

Lol. 50 percent of “advice” dealers give is completely wrong. You’re not hurting anything. The aux battery wipes out over time no matter what and then eventually takes the main battery with it.

It’s free to just press the button every start up. There are devices you can buy and install that will keep it off. It can also be turned off in tuning or defaulted to start. Several threads on this forum explaining the options if you search for Stop Star disable.

I used to just let the Auto Stop/Start or A.S.S. do its thing until it stopped working because the auxiliary battery started failing. I did the battery bypass and now I just push the button. I always seem to forget when I first start the Jeep but I remember as I roll up to my first stop sign or stop light.

I got the eliminator from one of the forum sponsors.

I would never go back.

They will tell you "the starter is made for it" but they never consider oil stops flowing temporarily... I get parts are still lubed at a red-light, but what about the oil in the block constantly heat soaking until it start back up and gets flowing again.

Am I overly sensitive to something so stupid? Probably. But to me a tenth of a gallon savings a tank or whatever isn't worth the spit.

A good reminder to all and sundry that electrical isolation of the ESS battery won't by itself prevent the Engine Start/Stop feature from functioning. The driver still needs to press the related dashboard button, or install a device (example) that creates a memory function.

My 23 Wrangler 2 Dr Rubi has the 3.6L e-Torque and the ESS Aux Lithium Battery is located in the rear, is that different than what the OP has?

I am using the Auto Stop/Start Eliminator and it works great.

A Tazer will keep the button in the last position it was in when the ignition was turned off. If it was off, it will stay off when you start up.

You have an Etorque motor. 48V "helper" battery. That is very different from the lawnmower sized aux battery in non Etorque. You are good with your ASS Eliminator.
