My brand new jeep got stolen at a busy mall in toronto.
All the people i am speaking with say that it is easier to steal push button start vehicles.
My question is : Can the push button start be changed to a key start?

The push button module has the RFID interrogation radio transceiver built into it. The computer won’t allow a start without that transceiver providing it with a proper signal.

An easier solution would be a hidden kill switch.

I have not heard that a keyless start system is more vulnerable to theft. I had always been under the assumption that it was more secure. Sure, someone can create a device to spoof the transponder, but that’s far more difficult than bypassing a keyed mechanical switch.

Just as easy to steal it using a tow truck without the motor running. Sorry for the loss.

Then what do you connect the kill switch to?
The fuel pump?
