In a previous Wrangler I used Infinity 3022's in the dash. I was contemplating using Infinity 3032 or REF307 (or their JBL counterparts), and I see Trailseven has an upgrade bundle:
Kicker CS Plug & Play Speaker Bundle Upgrade | '24 - Current JL Wrangl — trailseven.com

has anyone used this and what did you think of it? My concern is our 3.5" speakers are supposed to be 2 (+/-) ohms and the Kickers are 4. I'm wondering if I'd have to turn up the radio significantly to achive the same volume?

thanks

I used the complete trailseven kit with the kicker down firing sub. The install was a bear for the dash speakers, but otherwise I’ve enjoyed it. Done a lot of tinkering with the EQ and amp settings. Overall I’m happy with it. The only issue I ran into was that I have the Desert Does It Seat Slammer on the drivers seat, so I had to drill the amp bracket holes and put it under the passenger seat. But with the kit shown that won’t be a problem.

I have the Alpine factory sub.I didn't do that kit, but put these in the top dash right under the windshield:
Infinity REF3032CFX 150 Watts 3-1/2"

Comically easy install, maybe 10 mins. I played music with just one installed and moved the audio form L to R to hear the difference between factory vs. 3032, there's definitely a difference. Highs are much clearer. However, its subtle for sure. I notice it, the wife probably wouldn't. I enjoy it and only paid $62 for the pair.

Watching the install video the knee speakers sound like a pita to install, sure they're "drop in" but you have to take apart everything to get to them.

I almost think it would be easier and better to replace the soundbar speakers.

If it's anything like the JK, unfortunately those pain in the ass speakers in the dash make the most difference 😭

I went with the TrailSeven Kicker 6-speaker setup. The 2 "Knee speakers" are a pain, as you have to take most of the dash apart. It's not difficult, just tedious and time-consuming. There are a LOT of screws and clips involved, but it will make a difference in the sound. The T7 kit is plug-n-play wiring wise. REALLY nicely done.

With a Jeep- especially top down or off- you'll never get great sound. I will say that I use Infinity Reference and Polk's in my other vehicles. Kicker will NEVER match those, but in a Jeep you won't be able to appreciate the IR's or Polks...

Do you think its an upgrade over 2026 alpine system? I really really dont want to take apart the dash but I do want better sound and may just deal with it one long afternoon.

I have the Alpine sys and I recently replaced my dash speakers with ones from Audio Uprising formerly Terra Acoustics. Huge difference.

It was better on my 2021 with the better Alpine w/subwoofer setup... I felt it was worth the $450, + a couple hours of my labor.
