Jeep seems unable, or unwilling, to comprehend that the more they jack up prices, the higher the expectations they set for the brand.

When FCA set Jeep out to attract a more affluent type of buyer, it failed to account for the fact that more affluent buyers have more choices and higher expectations.

Bubbling paint, dead batteries or wobbly steering might not be an issue for traditional Jeep owners, but they are to those affluent customers set out to attract. Plus Jeep's incompetent dealers can make any minor issue turn into an unfolding nightmare.
So you expect vehicles to stay locked into a price? determined by whom?
Go onto ANY manufactured vehicles forums and you will eventually start to hear the crying.
I have none of the issues you are complaining about including my dealer.

I do...and I can't see how anyone here can't. Stellantis is a garbage company that bought a great name and really cool products and are now treating them as a money fountain. They don't care at all. Once they have driven the brand into the ground and the money stops flowing they'll sell it off and move on.

And there are "suckers" here...those who believe the hype and really think they've got a top notch product at a great value. There are many of us who knew exactly what we were getting into with a JL...but even more who are clueless.
That pretty much the whole auto industry. I’ve bought around 30 to 35 cars and all of these manufacturers suck. In my experience Ford is by far the worst. Fords are the biggest POS that I have ever seen.

Man, has Ford slipped in the past 8-10 years. I mean they are in big trouble. Last year they took a huge government bailout loan for their EV side of the business, then a short time later announced that EV production was halted. If it wasn't for pickups, the company would have been out of business long ago. And now they can't even build a pickup, their bread and butter vehicle, the number one selling vehilce in the US, without massive QC issues. I wouldn't own anything they made after 2017. My current F150, which is a 2015 and has been excellent, will likely be my last.

It varies. I had a F250 for 13 years and only had a rear door lock fail. I've a commuter car for 12+ years and the only dealer visit (ever) was to replace the Takata airbag.

Good for you.

Declining market share in a fairly strong market shows most Jeep customers aren’t so lucky.

I'm pretty sure every Bronco you see on the road would have been a Wrangler, they just have another choice now.
So sales would have been the same, it's just that there are only so many customers for pimped out SUV's.

Ford definitely has! The best Ford that I jave had was a 94 F150. I loved that truck but my exwife took it in the divorce lol. A few tears ago I had bought a new Mustang and F150, both were a nightmare. It was all electric issues. The F150 would shit off while driving and I would have to put it in neutral to start it while hitting the steering wheel.

I’m damn near at the point of only buying really old vehicles that have carbs lol

Bronco doesn't explain why Jeep has a hard time selling Gladiators, Cherokees, Wagoneers, and pretty much anything with the Jeep badge on it.

I think all manufacturers are having a hard time selling now. Who in the hell wants to pay these interest rates. In the past my wife and I always got 2 to 3 percent. I was looking for my wife a new Pilot and for the Elite it was going to be 9% for 72 months and the payments were over $900. Nope! We’ll be keeping her 2022 Pilot Elite.

It took a 25% discount to lure you back to the brand. You’d probably still be in that tiny station wagon if it wasn’t for that.

Jeep is no different than any other vehicle mfg, you win some you loose some. The OP might be just an unlucky guy or OCD over corrosion (maybe both). Not sure why people feel so inclined to give comms like this either…sorta a weird “look at me” moment? Hope his experience with whatever he gets next will be better, I bet a cold coke the OP will be back in the Jeep saddle before too long.

I didn't have the patience to read more than pages 1 and 2 and 9 (last one) but has anyone noted that Chrysler only became part of Stellantis exactly 3 years ago and the first few model years for the JL had nothing to do with Stellantis?

That’s right. Interest rates didn’t change one iota; Jeep’s pricing did.
