Any problems with the back window unhinging or even breaking at higher rates of speed or am i overthinking it?

It just seems like alot of pressure, maybe even especially so with the back quarter windows off as well?

A bit off-topic, but with the zillions of mods they make for almost everything it seems, I wonder why there isn't a device for holding the back window in the up position while street driving? Cushioned for shock absorption. Never seen one.

Or removable, such as the hinges pinned to the inside and secured. Just a non engineer idea. A real one should be able to come up with a way.

Continuing the off-topic conversation, I have thought how it’s weird we don't have this or a clip style with quick disconnects for the washer fluid, defroster, and wiring for the wiper. I’m pretty sure it would be something not just SOT users would buy, but also any one with a hardtop.

You ever see the science behind tailgates up vs down? Same would apply to jeep back window. Air actually build up against the windows creating a slight higher pressure. So as you move along the air rides right over the higher pressure pocket.

Yet even aftermarket hasn’t come up with the likely good selling product. Possibly harder than it appears, or think just us enthusiasts would buy it ?

No issues with mine. That having been said, I would not open or close it above 25 mph because I'm afraid of damaging it. It does say in the owners manual that it will not operate above 60 mph speeds.

I drive mine with back glass flipped up quite a bit. I find the air less turbulent in the front with the rear quarter panels in too. Easy to flip up or close when needed.

Coming from a JK with dual top group, and even with a power hoist in my garage for the hardtop, I still like the one touch a lot more than I thought. I use it so much more than the other tops and with black leather it’s convenient to close in the sun. I still miss going to topless sometimes but the other 90% of the time makes up for it.

I watched the video in this thread a few times before committing to the one touch top when I bought my JLU year. It’s certainly manageable to switch if your are mechanically inclined but finding a used one would be the challenge.
