So why not upgrade the driveshaft?
Because it has 5100 miles on it and I didn’t expect to be going through this so soon. Plus I haven’t found a definitive answer as to what works best.

Have a set of rock sliders I got from FB marketplace that I am still prepping. So those will get installed soon, along with a tailgate table. Also hoping to change front bumper to the OEM steel bumper. Rear bumper if I destroy my plastic one. I dont think I'll get new springs or shocks but we'll see.

Plan is not to break anything, 80,000 mile maintenance change all fluids. Get a set of new tires.

Most mods I did so far had been unplanned. lol

January- Install my new 1.5" coils and 2" teraflex shock spacers

February - Order and have installed my 37" Sailun Terramax RTs

Before June - finish my DIY Rear Seat Mounting Bracket

Before August - have my original PCM tuned, with no planned date to install.

No Exact Dates, Sometime In 2025 -
Play with the roof rack, Play with various LED light setups, play with the hardtop, possibly upgrade the roof rack, possibly upgrade more suspension parts, Make a DIY aluminum rear window (Not much of a window), put various stickers all over my Wrangler, install my new 7-in headlights, paint some things, drill some holes, put some padding on the rear most crossbar, etc.

As much as I don't like the FAD cause it is a weak link to me. I do like it so you can run the caster you need without worrying about drive shaft vibration or damage to it.

Great thread!

I think mine is mostly done. (LOL, yeah, right, it's a Jeep!)
  • Snorkel, likely AEV.
  • Hydro Blue dash panels
  • Get rid of Rubicon stickers on the hood, change tailgate "Jeep" badge to get rid of the red. Probably silver/black stars/stripes version will be the choice.
  • Possibly add a power outlet in the bed.
  • Possibly a new steering stabilizer...adjustable, like the Fox on my JLUR.
That's it! This Jeep is 95% where I want it to be with mods. The focus then is on trips!

I still dream of a 1/2 height rack and rooftop tent with an annex in the back, but I doubt that will happen this year, if ever.

1. Need to finally get some adjustable LCAs and fix my caster. I'll be going with MC GC arms.
2. I need to complete my tailgate reinforcement and replace the hinges. A mishap this last year has compromised the integrity of the entire tailgate lol.
3. Diff skids and covers, plus FAD skid.
4. If $$ permits, rear bumper and steering upgrades. Those are low on the list tho.

2026 will probably be when I throw out my Frankenlift and get the rest of the pieces for the GC 3.5". With that, I'll be ready for 38s when these 37s are ready to go.

I find it funny that I see far far far more threads talking about issues following FAD delete, than FAD actually failing on the trail.

There is not enough evidence that suggest FAD is the weak point so far.

Waiting on my 2025 JLURX to be delivered to Granger but here are my plans:

Hot Heads liner for my Sky One-Touch top
Husky front, rear and cargo area liners
Front door window tint
Update my JScan license

Possibly add AEV Dual Sport 2.5" lift. I'll wait to see how the stock X suspension is.
