Just had my Seicane HU installed using the $80 adapter from AliExpress. HU itself works great and is even better using the malaysk mod. Steering wheel controls are working properly; there is a small gap but it's not really visible unless you're looking at it from the side.

Issues I've run into is the volume/tuner knob aren't working anymore. The ac/heat functions work but it sucks that I can't see them on the screen anymore. OEM backup camera works with the adapter but it no longer shows the guide lines.

@18sport have you run into the same issues as well?

I
believe I read that you have to go into the settings and turn on canbus. You will be able to see the changes you make to the climate using the knobs and buttons on the screen, but won't be able to change them on the touch screen.

I'm using Malaysk mod also . Try going to Factory settings password is 126. I think its under Canbus , you can play around in there. The line for the camera is underExtra I think

Thanks, I was able to get the backup camera lines to show up but my knobs still don't work. I found knob mode but nothing happens when I change the settings

I cannot get my steering wheel controls to work. I messaged Seicane "support" and they said I just need to connect the "Key 1" and Key 2 wires to the steering wheel control wires. So much for plug and play. Any idea on what the "steering wheel control wires" are, and can I simply just twist the wires to get them to work? I had to run a separate ACC wire from the cigarette lighter to get the thing to turn on.

I did not do that in my Seicane, Just make sure your canbus settings is like this. This is a plug and play.

Okay, how do I get to this screen?
Go to car settings then factory, password is 126 . Do not change anything else in canbus or in Key section. The rest you can change the volume and car logo and Radio set to USA then Hit apply and exit, system will reboot to take effect

Just a heads up, I put a Seicane order in on Jan 20, 2020, still hasn't shipped as of Feb 4, 2020. I expected a delay for Chinese New Year, but I think they will be closed for awhile due to the coronavirus.

Okay. I got to that screen, and I changed my settings to match yours. Rebooted it and it didn't fix the problem. However, under "other", there's a setting to change steering wheel controls from SWC to Can bus. I changed that, rebooted it and it fixed the problem. Unfortunately, I put everything back in the dash and the steering wheel controls stopped working. I pulled it back out, unplugged everything and hooked it back in reset the can bus setting and the steering wheel controls never worked again.

This radio is driving me crazy and the "seicane support" is worse than bad.

So, with that in mind, how did you update the OS in this thing?

So there is no wiring you need to configure per seicane. Try a factory resest on your radio by using a paper clip
