Just finished installing mine about an hour ago. The rear camera and Android auto have both been a little fickle but both are working as I'm writing this.
Rear camera went to no signal for a little while, then came back. It does seem to do a quick flicker after I put it in reverse through...
Just to try to be a little more helpful..... there is a TSB regarding replacing the rear camera if your auto keeps dropping out in 2 second intervals and the rear camera screen is blue with a message that camera system is unavailable.
In that TSB is the part number for the two different...
There is a replacement harness that you need that connects from the drivers side pillar, up and across the windshield header, to the passenger side pillar. This harness adds the additional connection for the auto dim mirror.
If you're question is in regards to the adaptive cruise control (ACC)...
The off road pages is enabled using a feature code in the BCM. I was able to activate it using a Tazer and a bcm edit file they provided me. It will be included in their next firmware release.
Worked with Joe from Z automotive on enabling the icon on the uconnect. He knew exactly what needed to be done and programmed mine using a bcm flash. He said it would be easy to incorporate into a future release. He also enabled off road pages on my self upgraded uconnect 8.4.
No it was used. But the 2019 model UAQs work differently... They read the programmed options from the BCM after they are powered up. They do not hold the options from the original VIN they came from.
I
believe I read that you have to go into the settings and turn on canbus. You will be able to see the changes you make to the climate using the knobs and buttons on the screen, but won't be able to change them on the touch screen.
Are you sure the problem is the speakers and not the amp built into the radio? I installed the alpine upgrade with the subwoofer and front tweeters and my rear speakers and whole setup sound great now.
Thanks for the info. Does the Secane show the temperature and fan changes on screen? It looks like it comes with a Canbus adapter, so I'm guessing it should, just want to be sure.
I found the USB adapter.... if I purchase that, I can use CarPlay/Android auto with the existing USB connections...
A few more follow up questions ---- sorry to be a pest. Were you able to use your existing USB connections built into the Jeep for Android Auto/CarPlay/Media or did you have to run the new cables that came with the unit? I read somewhere, can't find it now, that someone used an adapter to go...
Which brings back my original question --- do they have the ability to do this? They can't add the UAQ radio as it's considered factory only. Can they add the mirror code?
Even so, the radio can't get the internet provisioned so I'm not sure how it would get the app over the air...
No and I doubt I'll ever be able to. I'm contemplating returning this UConnect before my 30 days is up and going a different direction like one of these Phoenix units. It is disappointing just how much these new Jeeps have been locked down by FCA.
So I spent the money and bought a UConnect 8.4 and auto dim mirror with assist and sos, along with the appropriate harness. Out of the box, before talking to the BCM on my Jeep and getting it's configuration, the mirror dimmer icon on the Uconnect was enabled and appeared to be working (see...
