I understand people defending their purchasing decision as we all do it to some extent.. Had my JL not been a pile of garbage I'd still have it. I like a lot about it but to think everything is perfect is well, kinda laughable...They are merely defending their decision . It's their money . If someone else made a different decision , or has a different opinion , they react defensively , with an "Oh, yeah , well I love my JL ; and you can't publicly criticize your JL's problems , because I love my JL ." Emotionalism is not rational . That's why we don't understand the North Koreans all crying when their "dear leader" feels hurt .
The defense of the JL has now reached the hysteria point where if someone says they don't like the side vents they are stupid and trolling. If someone says they don't like ESS they are stupid and trolling, if someone says they don't like _________ they are stupid and trolling.....
I have no idea why people take stuff like this so personal that they feel the need to discredit others and call them names. It's a mass produced vehicle and a certain % are going to be problematic. In the JL's case it appears more than normal have electrical issues, or steering issues or weld issues. Those are the top 3. Nothing wrong with letting others know to check for these issues before buying unless those rose colored glasses get in the way...
There is a lot to like about the JL and there are things to be cautious of as well...
