Over the past year or so, if I see ducks on the dashboard of an oncoming Jeep, they usually extend from one side to the other. The habit of sharing them must have really exploded.

I have just one duck on my dashboard. It's the first one I received. That's quite enough. :)

Ya it seems like you either participate and have a million ducks, or you don't participate and have zero. Very few in the middle ground, but I'm with you, I have one duck on the dash. I actually 3M taped it down so it would survive the trails. Any other duck I get is immediately re-ducked.

This first duck is the gateway duck. It seems innocuous but it just leads to another duck then another and then one day you’re in your living room surrounded by friends and a counselor doing an intervention.

Well, then, I remain standing at the Entrance. That my unabashedly stock Sport has received any ducks at all is newsworthy in itself. I'm flattered, to be sure, but I'm also sorta glad that I'm not finding the little baubles on my doorhandle every single time I exit Tractor Supply, either. ;)

I’m like @Heimkehr, obviously unworthy, only 3 in 3+ years :crying:. The last was a Santa duck last year. No gateway when they are willingly given to those that meet approval……. I do have a bought one available on the dash but the only couple Jeeps meeting my high standards left before I had a chance to duck them. Only winners get a duck trophy from me, no woke “Participation” ducks given.

Not directed at you just rambling.
I don’t give ducks out. I’m not angry if someone puts one on my Jeep. It’s like getting a flyer put under your windshield wiper that you don’t want…if that even happens any more. I’m not keeping it but I’m not pissed off either. The funny thing, like most things in this world, each side of the duck issue is so passionately convinced the other side is wrong. When I grew up, we were taught to never touch someone else’s vehicle or leave stuff on it. I guess the world has changed. Remember just because you see something as a kindness doesn’t mean the other person is required to share your viewpoint. At the end of the day people who give ducks aren’t any better or worse than the people who don’t want them.

Agree— I don’t want anyone touching my vehicle without asking. That said, setting a small rubber duck on my door handle does no damage, isn’t snooping for unknown reasons and only makes me smile 😊

I give pink ducks because pink Jeep, but only to those vehicles I see have ducks on their dashes. That means two in my rural area so far. (And one was a Gladiator.)

I have no ducks and I want no ducks. But I guess if I get any I'll just give them out again.
