We’re discussing with the team if the setup will fit the dometic 55. But regardless we’re going to order. Exact same color as you. Textured black with red face. Shelf, versa table, base plate with fridge slider and drawers
Gotcha! After thorough conversations with AAL, textured black is the most durable black, and there are two reds. The standard red which you see on the AAL vehicle (Brit's Jeep) and the anodized red.

For reference, I went with textured black and the anodized red. Also, if you're interested, use the code expeditionbuilds and receive some free swag if that interests you. I don't make any money on it, but it is something for those who follow EB.

Have a wonderful holiday(s).

Another pic of the new XLP Hoop.

I had a conversation with Max-3 asking if they thought I could squeeze the Baja Designs LP4's in the center of the new XLP hoop. We both concluded it was going to be close...good news for me I was able to make it work. Here's a video I did that shows details of how that went together.

Steven, looks amazing. If you don’t mind, I’m going to copy you as the look is exactly what I’m going for as well. Love the XLP hoop with the Baja’s nestled in between. May I ask how much clearance is between the top of the LP4’S and the bar? If I decided not to drill holes in my bumper (which I probably will), what other location did you consider if at all? I may PM you for specifics of the install if you don’t mind. Thanks!

Hi Paul! Thanks for the compliment. First off, the LP4's are one of my favorite light units. Incredibly useful light output in a relatively small package.

I originally had them mounted on the factory hoop guard that came on my Recon. This worked great but I was wanting a more integrated look, which is why I moved them inside the main hoop of the XLP.

To answer your question regarding clearance, they just fit. I spent a good amount of time playing the Baja Designs bracket orientation and what would be the final mounting point. I have a washer between the lighting bracket and the bumper so they can be aimed without scratching the bumper paint. Use my measurements from the video and you can replicate this install.

I'm going to see if I can snap a pic for you to show the clearance.

@PaulNY I was able to snap a (dirty/snowy) pic of the clearance...or lack of clearance when fitting the LP4's into the XLP hoop. With my lights aimed to my liking, the cooling fins on the back of the lights just kiss the inside of the hoop.

If you refer to my video for mounting location, it might be possible to move the mounting point forward just slightly and gain a little clearance if you felt like you wanted it?

Thanks Steven, I watched your video among few others when I was deciding between the AAL setup versus the Goose Gear set up. I like the shelf and since Brit is a fellow Marine, I decided to go with their stuff. Great video!

Nice to hear this John! Looking forward to seeing your set-up.

Are you going to be running a refrigerator? I think your air compressor is already on your build?

I am. I already have a Dometic CFX55, which is the reason why I am waiting to hear from AAL if the new fridge slide can be installed and still allow me to keep the rear seats. I still need the rear seat for now but will eventually do a 60/40 delete.

I have the ARB twin air compressor installed under the front passenger seat with a 2 gal tank underneath the chassis and an extra port on the front bumper
