Hello... long time lurker first time post...
I have a Jeep jku 2017 3.6. Long story way short I'm tired of dealing with the 224-26 temp high speed fan activation. I'm interested in the Rpm Exteme PWM Controller
http://www.rpmextreme.com/Product/283/JEEP-JK-PWM-FAN-CONTROLLER-HEMI-38-36.aspx
Just looking for some long term input especially if there are any codes that happen and if there are any issues getting ur Jeep smogged after installation. Thanks ALOT in advance!!

I'm not sure, I never owned a JK. It might be worth checking on a JK forum.

Do it!

I have that fan controller installed in my JK and JL and the difference is huge. I stopped thinking about water-wetter and different radiators, and stuff.

Follow the YouTube video of a shop doing a Hemi conversion installing it.

Right on I appreciate your input... I bought the one this morning that the company recommends based on mine being stock. Was there any difficulties u ran into installing on ur jk? Thanks in advance

I agree
I have had one on my 2020 willys for a year and it works so well I just installed one on my Wife's Rubicon last week.
Three week trip to Vegas, Sand Hollow and Moab.
Most of the time 188 to 195 and only saw 212 once climbing a mountain pass 4000ft to 8000ft. and that was only for a few minutes. And my oil temps are also 25 degrees cooler.

It's not *difficult* but it is time-consuming because you're cutting into your ECM wiring harness and so you want to triple and quadruple check everything before you commit. Docs are sparse but complete. Count on spending at least half a day. Not kidding.

Having said that, it's not the end of the world if you cut through the wrong wire. If you do, you simply splice it back together. My buddy used t-taps with success, but I peeled back the insulation and soldered the controller wires in. On the JK, the wire colors were easy to identify, but on the JL there were too many times I couldn't be sure if I had the right colors or not (purple/brown? Good luck). In the end, on the JL, I tested for continuity between the ECM plug and the wire (jam a sharp needle through the insulation and put your ohm meter lead on it).

Good luck!

I 2nd @drrags.

Study the schematic, take your time, be thorough. It really is straight forward it's just a little tricky the first time. A 2nd time would definitely be faster and easier like anything else.

You can do it bro!

My Willys was the first and took the longest.
My Rubicon took half as long.
Still waiting on them to release a fan controller for the 2024 models V6 JLs..
So far no news about that

I just picked up a 2022 Gladiator, so it looks like I'll be doing this again. Maybe I should make a video, but I suck at that.
