Our our '19 JLUR is at the 1,000 mile mark and I've been stretching the legs on this baby a few times since then.

All during break-in, we never really went above 3,000 rpm. Now that I've taken it up over that mark a few times, I've noticed some harshness in the engine between the 3,000 and 4,0000 mark, no mater what gear I'm in. Below 3K the 3.6 sounds and feels buttery smooth and above 4K it's smooth again. It's in this 1,000 rpm range that it feels/sounds unrefined.

Anyone else notice this? If not, it's something I'll mention it to them at my first oil change in a couple of weeks.

Thanks.

Does it sound like something raspy or rattling? I ask that because for me, I get a rattle sound at that range, almost as if it's a heat shield from underneath loose or hitting against something.

Doesn't sound as obvious as a heat shield but still could well be. I will mention that when I take it in.

Thanks.

Noticed that if I put it in park or neutral, I hear the sound at 3,000, so it's not the drivetrain.

Anyone else notice that you can't rev this motor past 3K in park or neutral? I'm assuming they are all this way. Out of the tons of vehicles I've owned, none have had a rev limiter in neutral.

Never drove mine above 3000rpm, because that's when the turbo kicks in.
