I have had to replace the motor on the driver side also. Then a bit ago springs and the cylinder. The step got very slow. Is the system perfect? NO. The steps require regular maintenance. However, considering the fact that without them I would have a 3 foot step Into the jeep, money well spent.
Agree. I have them on my JTR, that sits on 39's. It's quite a leg hike to get in, and I'm not getting any younger! lol
I keep mine clean and lubicrated. Pass side works great, but obviously, isn't used as much as driver side. I'm going to try again to order a new motor and see if I can get it working properly, bc they are handy!

Out of curiosity, is there a competitor to RSE when it comes to retracting steps or are the the only game in town?

Out of curiosity, is there a competitor to RSE when it comes to retracting steps or are the the only game in town?
RSE is the only armor capable retract step that I've seen. What I don't like about the RSE is the weight. With the armor, they are 300lbs, not to mention $10/lb.
