I did confirm that the online business is still up and running, as his wife is continuing to run that to keep her mind off what is going on. So order away if yall have wish to!
His community held a charity dinner, jeep cruise in, silent auction, etc. yesterday, and raised close to 30k for his...
You are too kind sir!! Also, I have a paypal account they have set up as well that I will be happy so share through pm to those that reach out to avoid the gofundme fees they charge.
I know they have a part time mechanic doing small jobs. I am not sure about the parts part of it. I will run down there today and see. I know his wife does the online ordering and keeps the website up however, so not sure anyone else is there with the know how to do so?! Will find out tho and...
Wee are doing that locally as well.
plus, some of my bourbon buddies and I have donated some hard to get bourbons for silent auctions.
The local piggly wiggly is donating 10% of their sales this Friday to his family which is super cool! Local Jeep group will be there in support.
Thank you everyone that has taken the time to read and donate!
Updates that I have received are that he has a level 3 La Forte break in his skull (basically, face was crushed) will need facial reconstruction. Several broken ribs, punctured lung, severely broken shoulder. Extent of brain damage...
I am posting this up (with permission from mods), and will keep it short, but a friend, Jeep shop owner, and avid jeeper here in WV had a horrible accident this past weekend and had to life flighted out of the trail due to his injuries. He is my go to Jeep mechanic and owns/operates a small Jeep...
Agree. I have them on my JTR, that sits on 39's. It's quite a leg hike to get in, and I'm not getting any younger! lol
I keep mine clean and lubicrated. Pass side works great, but obviously, isn't used as much as driver side. I'm going to try again to order a new motor and see if I can get it...
Funny this was bumped. Just turned mine off the other day bc driver side was not fully retracting. They worked great for a year. Then started having issues in sub 30 degree weather, then anything under 50 degrees driver side would not fully retract.
Ordered a new motor from RSE and it never...
I did the same, only didn't spend the money at the dealer. Two new batteries, new pcm, replaced both canbus modules, checked and cleaned every ground on the jeep. By happenstance, discovered where the short was, and only happened when the aux battery was connected. So I inspected that harness...
After some digging and looking at my other jeeps, these were speaker wires that were cut, and new wires ran from the head unit (or pak10) to tie in to the speaker wires that run through the cab. Since, I have always had a CEL (lost comm with radio, and canbus connection code).
A few weeks ago...
That’s how it looks to me as well. I had a stereo installed years ago and they obviously ran wires through there. Not sure if they pulled it off in the process or what? Have had can bus cel ever since that install. I did not find the “pin” anywhere.
as for the bolt, that’s just the bolt that...
Having major issues like many, so replaced green left can bus, problem remains. As I wait for right white can bus connector to arrive, started going through grounds, connectors, wires etc.
Found this exposed wire with no can bus pin that is in the right side can bus harness. Would it have come...
Currently in the process of doing that further. I initially did a thorough visual, but now, I have downloaded all the grounding points, and checking each individually.
Jeep has never been in water. I bought it new in 2018, it has been wheeled for sure, but never submerged. We gave it to our...
WV. They said they see all the time on dodge diesels. They were just being bullish.
Funny thing is, they said they don't work on modded vehicles. I laughed and said you had no problem taking the vehicle in when it's clearly not stock sitting on 37's with a full line of mods!!
I was very upfront...
No worries, just curious if I was missing something obvious. The push pin is apparently just one of the connectors that goes in the canbus module. Mine are all fine, and took about 5 minutes to swap all the pins to the new canbus module.
Do you have pics of these pieces by chance? I am chasing down the same problem on my own (long story), and just replaced the green canbus connector today, and the issue remains. Like you, I had 5 pages of codes. Screen goes crazy flipping thru all pages, jeep gets stuck in gear and wont shift...
