That’s the Mopar steel bumper with the end caps off.
Interesting. Mine looks like the one on the other Jeep in the picture. Is it possible to convert mine to that or is that a different bumper than mine?

Absolutely. It’s a direct bolt on factory bumper. I have it on mine. Great looking bumper.

Final question for now: does anyone know how wide the factory wheels are? Are they wide enough to run 12.5" wide tires? I don't really want to replace them if I don't need to. Maybe some day I'll add a set with bead locks but don't see a reason to change them until then.
places like discount tire won’t install a 12.5 on the stock wheels. I think they are 7.5” wide. They however mount up fine and I haven’t noted any poor tire wear. I would suggest some synergy or spidertrax spacers. There’s a member selling some in the market place or order them direct. It’ll give you plenty of clearance from control arms or sway bar end links

I’m going to go with the cheaper Fox 2.0s when the time comes. I’m probably several months out at a minimum from installing a lift. Just got the Jeep Friday and will focus on a few smaller items in the interim (bumpers and winch).
Right on! Enjoy it brother, it’ll eventually snowball into stuff you’d probably said you wouldn’t buy!

You gotta use the Torx bit to remove the end caps. There should be a mopar tool kit your Jeep came with. I did it with mine.

Yes 2.5" is available in the Overland kit as well! I can leave you a link. We always at least recommend changing out the front driveshaft, but when it becomes really necessary is when you start to get over 3" of lift, and also if you're going to be taking it wheeling a lot. If you're doing the 2.5" kit, and only wheeling once in a while, you might be able to get away with holding off for a little bit before upgrading.

Here's my Clayton 2.5 Overland Plus on 38s and 37s! Running Fox 2.0 Shocks. Still haven't needed to upgrade the front driveshaft.

Very clean! Can’t wait to get mine on. Current plan is to go with the 3.5” Overland Plus (With the RK No Limit sway links) on 37s when the time comes.

Great! Thanks! That’ll shave a good $700 or $800 off if I don’t need wheels or spacers.
I ran 315/70-17 BFG KO2's, which are a smaller 35", on the factory wheels without spacers for about 10k miles. Zero issues.

Just a heads up, when you go to claytonoffroad.com and put in a "your vehicle" which is 2020 Jeep Wrangler and hit the search button, the 2.5 Overland is not displayed. When you click on the box to the left for "JL" it still doesn't display the 2.5 Overland. It has just 4 listed which are as follows

2.5 Premium
3.5 Premium
3.5 Overland
2.5 Entry Level

This may be why the poster didn't think you offered a 2.5 overland

I did end up finding it after Clayton responded but I’m guessing you’re correct in why I didn’t see it the first go around.
