No problem.

Steering firmness will come from tighter steering components.

Steering resistance will increase with a firmer stabilizer.
So both could assist in different ways, but one or the other may be all that is needed?

Hm, the steersmarts page wont load and some retailers are not showing it yet for the JL. Got to keep digging.

Cant agree with RK enough, I ran RK with Steersmarts yeti tie rod and flipped drag link and my god the little 2 door drove like a dream. I wish it all transferred over to the JL, but RK and Steersmarts will just have to take my money again :cwl:

Any help is appreciated...I've been looking at my jl with added RK adventure 2.5" stage 1 lift, can you help me understand how this lift adds 2.5" of lift? I made sure coil pads were used and coils arent bound up. It feels and measures more like a 1.5" lift on my jl sport that has jlur d44 axles. I looked at the coils tonight and they are part # RK 04186 which also googles as being triple rate coils for a 1.5" lift for the wrangler jk and jl. I'm wondering if I was accidentally sent the 1.5" coils or springs for a jk that would offer a smaller lift on a jl. For example:
https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/...f8AYUlN1VVXiYFbUG5p7jc7rGoFMIwxBoClU8QAvD_BwE
Here's jeep pre lift on 315/70/17 tires(camera is slightly angled making front rake look bigger)
obRGOwg.webp

On same tires with 2.5" lift:
873PaGh.webp

Considering tires are upsized from stock rubi 285/75/17 ko2(measured 31.75" mounted where tread starts) to a bigger 315/70/17 which is measuring 33" mounted where tread starts. So with tire upgrade alone, it gained approx .6" height(radius of 1.25" diameter bigger tire).
I went to a jeep dealer today and measured the same spot on flat ground on 2 stock rubicon jl's(driver side low point on belly at hole cut out for bolt in tubing crossmember that runs laterally) and both stock rubi's measured 13.25" from the ground. (@TTEChris was also kind enough to measure one) I then measured my 2.5" lifted jeep with .625 radius bigger tires on flat ground and it measured 15.5". Here's my measurement:
dZSbANB.jpg

Here's the front driver side measurement from the top of axle to bottom of cup that holds the coil showing 13.75". Would someone with a stock rubi please measure this height for comparison?
oRCmJQS.webp

In summary, this lightweight jl (plastic bumpers and no winch) is now 2.25" taller than a stock rubi measured at the belly at same spot on flat ground after going to taller 315/70/17 ko2's and adding a claimed 2.5" lift. I was expecting to be atleast 3.25" taller than stock rubi right after the lift before it settles..What am I missing? Could these coils be the wrong size Thanks for any help!

how do we know that there isnt small differences in spring perch height etc with a Rubicon? That’d be-my only concern with the measurements. RK should be responding to the thread... if its a jk coil it probably has a stiffer rate due to the extra cab weight of the jk. Were your springs labled?

Ive discussed this with RK a few times. They told me that apparently it just happened to “work out” because the jl is lighter and the springs worked out and netted 2.5”. And they told me a part number is just a number and it doesnt mean anything on what its compatible to. bare minimum lift in my opinion. However i will say that the coils ride really well on mine.

RK's website claims this for lift height:

Lift Height
All lift heights are based on stock Rubicon models
Sahara add .393" of lift over stock configuration
Sport add .787" of lift over stock configuration

Meaning lift height should be 2.5" + .787"(sport model) = 3.287". Factor in bigger tires...shouldn't height increase further?

Strange....Northridge is showing the Rock Krawler wrangler jl 2.5" coils to have a different part # RK 07014 than what we installed. I bet we have old coils made for the jk that prob work, but result in a smaller lift.

Check out fender clearance in my pre and post lift pics with same tires. Doesnt look like it gained much. Soesnt look like it lifted it 2.5" compared to many other 2.5 lifts I've seen.

It wouldnt suprise me if its the same spring and they changed the number to avoid confusion. or if they did re-design it and we id get old ones and those worked till they were able to develop more. But who knows. I dont remember my stock numbers on height but i do know ive been reading through the MC 2.5" lifts and they are a full 1 1/4" higher than me in the rear on same jlu sport with same size tires.

Matt, based off the dimensions you sent last night, I took a trip to a dealership to this morning to measure a bone stock Rubi. As stated in our emails this morning, the 2019 4 door Rubicon I measured on the dealer lot showed 5.5" from axle tube to bottom of frame, you are measuring 8" on your Jeep in the same location. That is as close to 2.5" of nominal lift height as I can possibly imagine which is exactly what the engineering team here worked for on the JL. Please note: the image you provided is the first image (on top) and my measurement is the second image (on the bottom). Just for clarity and reference. Adam

@Rock Krawler Suspension I just received my front LCA's along with front and rear track bar (x-factor) today. I'm looking forward to putting them on. I have a question about the zerk fitting. I'd prefer not to cut out a part of the brace so I can access it with my grease gun. You guys have said in the past that this was optional. I also dont want to mount the zerk on the bottom due to possibly getting sheared off from a rock.

How hard is it to get to access the zerk fitting with a grease gun if I orientate it on top as opposed to the bottom?

Is it possible (and is there room) to fit a 90 degree zerk nipple on the joint?

Could I mount the zerk opening on the bottom and use some sort of plug when not in use. Then put the zerk fitting every 6 months for maintenance?

Sorry about all the questions but I really don't want to cut the brackets. Not because Im worried about the structural damage....Im just too lazy!

ALSO, if anyone has any pics of the zerk fitting mounted upright wihout the bracket cut, PLEASE post them. I really want to see how much space there is to grease them.

EDIT: I have one other question. The instructions say to have between .2 - .4 cross caster split with more on the passenger side. Can you tell me what this accomplishes? I'm not familiar with the reasons to NOT make the caster even on both sides. Acutally, given the solid axel I didn't even think it was possible to have a difference in caster on both sides.

Thx!
