  1. Dynatrac EnduroSport 2" lift - also fixed my steering issues!

No need to do a relocation bracket for this lift. All you need is an adjustable track bar. You don't need a relocation bracket until you are around 3.5" of lift.
  2. Dynatrac EnduroSport 2" lift - also fixed my steering issues!

While I beat up my Jeep on a regular basis, I tend to be a little anal about how it drives. I could feel that the axles were not centered mostly while turning. Therefore I decided to put Rock Krawler adjustable trackbars on front and rear. Also, up to a couple months ago I had the pos...
  3. Dynatrac EnduroSport 2" lift - also fixed my steering issues!

You might want to watch what Brad had to say about this and other lifts: I had it on my Jeep for the first year then went to the Rock Krawler 3.5 with Fox 2.5 DSCs and Radflo custom bumpstops. As I have first hand knowledge of both, I agree with just about everything Brad said: 1. Dynatrac...
  4. Mopar tailgate reinforcement and CB antenna mount

Do yourself a favor and scrap that overpriced POS. I had one and they are crap. Replace it with something like a Rustys Tire Carrier or CavFab, EVO, etc... I replace my Mopar crap with a Rustys Carrier and created a small bracket on top of it to house my VHF/UHF antenna and a space for a flag.
  5. Where to get wire harness pins to add RCA input to Uconnect 8.4?

I'm about to take my dash apart and figured while I was in there Id at least add a female RCA connector to my Uconnect 8.4. I know about the camera kits by Z Auto (I have a Tazer) but I just want the input (for now). Can anyone her point me in the direction of what size and where to find the...
  6. JL Steering Gear Box Aftermarket Support

Already have my appointment set to get the new steering box. While my Jeep drives straight as an arrow with all the upgraded components I put on, and setting my caster angle to 6.5 degrees, I still have a terrible deadspot that I'm looking forward to getting rid of. Im looking forward to no...
  7. Installing Rock Krawler kit, can I do it?

I see people saying you need to drill out the bracket on the LCA (as also mentioned in the instructions). You really don't NEED to do this if you don't want. It's also easier to grease them when the zerks are facing down. I wheel my Jeep really hard just about every weekend through out the...
  8. Burning smell - any idea what it may be?

No, I never figured it out. I just put a fire extinguisher in the Jeep and lowered my insurance deductible. I kind of gave up caring.
  9. Dynatrac EnduroSport 2" lift - also fixed my steering issues!

“dead on where it was before the lift” - so that means you are probably about 4 degrees. Can you post your alignment specs? I found that 6-6.5 degrees is the sweet spot that fixes wandering steering.
  10. Dynatrac EnduroSport 2" lift - also fixed my steering issues!

2" Dynatrac lift with Rock Krawler Lower Control Arms, RK Front and Rear adjustable track bar. Also have Steersmarts drag link, tierod along with the Synergy track bar and sector shaft brace. Those are 37" BFG KM3 tires and I weigh in at 5800 (so I'm a little heavy). Love my set up right now...
  11. JL Steering Gear Box Aftermarket Support

As I read this I'm still miffed as to why your Falcon fits and mine doesn't. Yep, Im the guy on FB. ;) Back on topic, yes, its the steering box thats causing such a huge deadspot. When you replace your drag link, tie rod, track bar and control arms to something super solid, there is only one...
  12. Need Advice: What Relay?

If each light is 100 watts then you will have 8.33amps flowing through the wires (100w / 12v = 8.33amps). This means your relay needs to be capable of this. Go to Amazon and search for: 12V 30 40A SPDT Bosch Style Automotive Relays & 5 Wire Socket
  13. Baja Designs are Not JL Rubicon Install Friendly with their Harness

Looks like you may have glossed over the portion where I said “each LP6 has 7.5 amps draw when on FULL. ”. A better argument would have been the 40 amp fuse that’s on each fog light being more than capable of running them (as I just checked) . Regardless, as someone who has LP6 lights...
  14. Baja Designs are Not JL Rubicon Install Friendly with their Harness

I wouldn't advise wiring the lights in this way. I've already gone through the reasons why but I'll recap the most important. The BD LP6's are EXTREMELY bright. You can not run with them on the main roads (well, I do but Im in the middle of nowhere and have my finger on the button to turn...
  15. Mopar tailgate reinforcement and CB antenna mount

Just got all my parts in and I'm scratching my head wondering how you got the 1 1/2" stainless steel bolt to fit with the lock washer installed. You mentioned you drilled out the hole to 1/2" and you ground off the paint below the hole but I'm still not seeing how its going to work. I might...
  16. Baja Designs are Not JL Rubicon Install Friendly with their Harness

I can't quite remember all the steps I took to do this but I will say that all you need is right in front of you. I repurposed the relay so that it switches between the low and high beams (low being the NO - Normally Open terminals). As I mentioned in a previous post, be sure to run the main...
  17. Mopar tailgate reinforcement and CB antenna mount

I've resisted the urge to install an antenna for my Midland 75-822 quite frankly because I think CBs suck. The only reason I need on is because I will be wheeling in Moab again. And, we all know the old folks don't want to switch to VHF radios. Question: How well does your CB work with this...
  18. Best Setup for RV Flat Tow

I got a little laugh when I read this. I would hope you've had no issues so far since if you did that would mean that your tow bar broke while driving. I put D rings in mine and hook to that. I feel more comfortable with this set up than just hooking directly to the tow loops.
  19. Best Setup for RV Flat Tow

I use the rear holes of the tow loops for the safety cables. The chances of the tow loop failing before the tow bar is probably minimal. Also, I run my break away cable through the passenger cutout for the tow loop and attach that to the bumper of the RV. So far Ive towed the Jeep a...
  20. Baja Designs are Not JL Rubicon Install Friendly with their Harness

Absolutely! I hardly use the high beams of the LP6s because the low is extremely bright. One of these days (not tonight) I'll take a picture of the intensity difference. You might be amazed at the difference.
