Howdy all! I am going to upgrade my steering to assist with the 37s and have been looking for some feedback on the Rock Jock high steer system. It is fairly new and I haven't seen many posts about it other than those just mentioning the kit exists. Really hoping for some real world feedback on this kit.

Do I become a tester for the forum or go with the more tried hodgepodge kits like Reid knuckles and RPM, or the like, steering components? I will also be changing ball joints at the same time and am leaning towards the Metalcloak offering. I'll reach out to both companies to make sure everything works well with each other but I think there is only an issue if you want to use RCV axles (if going Metalcloak ball joints).

I am a buy once, cry once kind of person.

Did you ever install this RJ high steer kit? Wondering what you thought? Sounds like we have a similar taste for parts.

I did the weld on version of this kit, the RJ-440000-101.

Well, I did it piece by piece as I found some incredible deals at the time and saved a couple hundred dollars. I was also trying to get other, aftermarket parts to fit, so that allowed me to try and see if everything fit without shelling out money I may not need to. Spoiler, I now run every component of their kit. ;)

My Jeep is my DD, but I dont drive it much, so I would think of it as more of a weekend cruiser around town. Ive done Moab once, and small fire roads. Maybe this summer Ill actually get out and wheel it more.

Install details are all in my build thread in my signature. At the time, I was possibly one of the first general public people to install the kit, to the point they did not have published instructions available, so I was shooting from the hip. Everything in the front is SUPER tight, and all those bends are needed.

Long story short, drives better than it ever did, but thats most likely due to they hydro assist than the Currie stuff.
Install was fairly easy for what it was. I did do some extra stuff on the install, but it was all "bolt on." All my pain points were self induced trying to make stupid stuff work.

If you have any specific questions, please feel free to IM me or ask here.

I would 100% do the weld on kit again, but thats knowing that I wanted high steer, hydro assist and beefy steering.
