Restricted Ordering on Cold Weather Package?

So I got a quote from Koons on a build last week, and wanted to give my local dealer the chance to match it. I went in today to talk about it, but when he tried to create the build sheet he said that Jeep has a restriction on the Cold Weather package - they aren’t accepting orders with the package, and can’t even build an order. This was before I even let him know that I had a price he needed to match, so it’s not like he just wanted to get rid of me. Has anybody heard anything similar? I’m sending in my deposit to Koons today.

From what I've read the cold weather package isn't an option right now. Likely just a supply chain issue as it's a popular group and I'm sure it'll come back.

Do a quick search and you will see others are have the same issue with the cold weather package. I am guessing Koons will also not be able to place the order until the package is available. I would think the dealer ordering process would impact both dealers the same way.

As @FX44AU stated, this is probably just a supply chain issue. Good luck, I hope you get your Jeep exactly as desired!

Good luck with ordering. NJ peep here also and ordered from Koons. No issues and transaction went smoothly. In typical Jeep fashion, ordered my Earl JLUR mid August and got delivery 5 1/2 months later — I did throw in a bunch of options in there (body colored fenders and roof, trail cam, black satin grill, cold weather, MT, safety group, LED, tow package, metal bumpers, black leather interior) that slowed down order one way or another. I was prepared to wait though and so glad I got what I wanted. Picking up from northern Va. also such a breeze coming from NJ — simply rented a car one way (drop off was at same hotel i stayed in which was only about a mile from Koons).

This supply chain issues are such bs it's because they don't want to make certain parts in house.

Yep, just got the bad news confirmation from Koons when they tried to enter my order today. No Jeep for you. At least right now.

Cold Weather is back, but in small amounts. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence with placing an order right now.

I did get an email from Koons about this and immediately placed the order. It got accepted and I received a VON. Now we wait.

Thats great you were able to get your order in! I went with Koons as well and it was a great experience...nothing but positive things to say about them. Placed my order first week of Dec 2022 and had my Jeep 8 weeks later. It was an easy 4 hour ride down from Northern NJ and spent no even 2 hours from start to finish. Adam Jesse was great to work with at Koons!

Placed my order first week of Dec 2022 and had my Jeep 8 weeks later. It was an easy 4 hour ride down from Northern NJ and spent no even 2 hours from start to finish. That's a great timeline. I ordered from them the second week of December. Showing production finished Feb 25th so curious what typical timeline was with them. Thankful I got my cold weather group order in as well. Missed out on recon but can't have everything I guess.
