Sounds to me like you may need to “loose’ another key or two before the warranty expires.......Did you get the key fob replaced already? I lost one off the roof a few days ago and after a spending a day walking 10 miles up and down the local Route whatever highway and getting the cops called on me for "Looking at the Highway with Binoculars While Suspicious", I finally gave up and went to the dealership the next day.
When I got there, I mentioned that I remember there being some sort of key fob replacement plan from when I was signing the papers. (I stupidly didn't check my paperwork before going, only remembered it while I was there) Parts said they had a fob on hand and to check with the Service Manager about the Lost Key Policy. I figured it was some sort of deductible based insurance policy that I signed my name on willy-nilly the day I picked up the jeep. I'm used to key fobs costing $150-$300, so I would have been glad for anything, but the Service Manager checked my VIN and said, "Alright, it says you have a Key Fob Replacement Plan, so you're good to go. You have two left." I said that's great and asked what I owed. He gave me The Look and said, "What? Nothing." I asked if it went through my insurance or something, but no, it was through the dealership and somewhere in all the papers that I signed, I could have up to three key fobs replaced and had just used one of the extra lives.
(Disclaimer, I'm usually not an idiot with fine print and legalese, but when I was there to pick up I was thinking, "Sure, sure, free oil change, free tire rotation, bumper to bumper unless I touch anything, key fob replacements, shut up and give me my car. Anyway, those things are huge, I can't possibly misplace them)
So if you haven't already, maybe ask to see if you paid money for something like that. I apparently did. I just hope I didn't pay the cost of 1.85 key fobs up front. I don't want to check the paperwork now. A million monkeys with a million jeeps will eventually lose a key fob though, no matter how large it is, so it might be worth it eventually.
I got the fob programmed the next day, it took an hour. I did hear a car alarm going on and off for 50 minutes of that hour and it occured to me later that they mayhaps have had a bit of a time programming it. I noticed the key blade was a blank when I went out and when I went back in they told me to schedule an appointment with Parts to have their contracted guy come in and cut it. Apparently also a shady guy in a truck in their parking lot.
Good Luck.
