You know what the worst part of this thread is...How the hell you gonna make engine burritos without the cover to keep them held snugly against the intake? Does nobody practice the sacred rituals anymore...

nothing more than decoration and to dissuade folks from doing their own service....if it looks complex most will say screw it and go to the dealer or oil change place. As for protection for the hood maybe a little but we seemed to build cars for decades and decades without all these fancy plastic shit clading.

It shouldn't as long as you don't let it get too close to the flux capacitor.

Ah hell, no wonder the paint is all screwed up on my hood hinges. I guess I should've ordered the unabridged owner's manual.

think you could make a dual ARB work with a custom bracket in the same area? I am sure it won't fit with the engine cover bolt location, but was thinking maybe a new bracket may be able to squeeze it in.
John is correct. The single barely fits without rubbing, and that’s after turning and adjusting The manifold. It tucks into the curve of the hood nicely. Since the pictures I added a 90 and small extension to turn the hose connection towards the passenger side instead of being in the middle. I don’t see any way the dual arb would fit. But I’m very happy with the single and have no complaints about it’s speed!

While at EJS Moab '19, I had a leak in the twin under my hood. Three ARB techs told me while their units are tough, under hood location would be their last choice because of heat. Their advise led me to M.O.R.E. bracket.

I took mine off last March after hearing a W.H. report saying, a cover isn't needed and likely increases problems. I didn't read the whole report just the headline.
W.H.?
