I'm at about 34,000 on my 2018 JLU Sport S. My Jeep is pretty much stock except for some wheels and 255/75 BFG AT tires. My clutch seems fine but I am still a little nervous do to the horror stories I've read on several forums.
Mine works pretty smoothly other than some strange...
Any updates? Mine seems to be coming from the clutch pedal spring. I squirted some dry lube on it but it's still squeaking. Mine sounds like an old rusty car door, really loud and annoying
I have looked at all kinds of set ups and haven't come across anyone having any issues yet. I'm leaning towards something cheaper though because we really only use it a few times a year now
The tongue weight is 10% of the towing capacity so I wonder how strong the crossmember actually is. There really isn't a good solution for carrying multiple bikes at the suggested tongue capacity aside from maybe a trailer but that brings a whole new set of problems.
When you go over bumps and the bikes and rack are bouncing the weight is multiplied, I'm guessing that's where the 500lbs comes from. I'm between the VelociRAX and the 1UP and this concern may be causing me to lean toward the VelociRAX. I think I could strap or bungee the rack to the spare...
I'm looking at the Velocirax 412
to replace the Lolo rack I just sold. I liked the Lolo I just didn't like the way it held my bike. I thought about going with something like the 1UP to save weight but after looking into it it really doesn't save that much weight and by the time I get it set...
When you guys say slipping does that mean the rpms are raising but the Jeeps not moving as if the clutch is completely worn out? Most of the time my Jeep 2018 with a little over 32,000 miles feels really smooth but in 3rd gear driving through town it doesn't. The best way to describe it is it...
OI went with 255/75's also and mine was either set up a little optimistic from the factory or it didn't change. My MPG's didn't drop much either but from past experince the wider tires seem to hurt MPG's more.
I have the original wiper blades on my Jeep and can't seem to remove them. I've pressed in the tab and when I try to get them out it feels like I am going to break something. Is there a trick to this?
I'm not sure there would be any way show it on a video. There is no change in sound, it just feels like I'm pulsating the gas pedal. It kind of give the feeling It's going to stall but it's not.
In high school my friend had a 5seed Nissan sentra that he was learning to drive and it never...
The electronic throttle control seems more like what I'm feeling. Ive had/driven a lot of manual transmission equipped vehicles and this feels nothing like lugging in any of them. Not saying that's a bad suggestion but I've had 2 4cyl vehicles with larger tires that lugged all the time. When...
I think I ruled that out tonight, when it started I up shifted to 4th and the bumpyness went away but it then started lugging. Felt completely different.
It's always had the issue, I just downshifted before to avoid it but the probelm is still there and I don't want to be out of warranty and out of luck down the road. I don't notice it once down sifted but its a pretty big jump in rpms. I really don't notice it in any other gears at 1500 rpms...
At around 1500 RPM's especially in 3rd gear my JL feels kind of bouncy. Not really sure how else to explain it other than bouncy or as if the drive-train was connected through a spring. I don't know if its my discription or just a really uncommon problem but no one on any of the forums has...
