Ok I just ended a conversation from an acquaintance of mine from a previous car club, and our conversation was pretty much him telling me to get rid of my Jeep coz they’re unreliable and keep breaking down. Now, as much as I respect others in their love of cars, I love my Jeep. I’m sure there are others here who would attest their lifestyle and wouldn’t change a damn thing. Especially when it’s a random chat telling you to get rid of your ride. He doesn’t own a Jeep so he wouldn’t know, in fact he drives a “Honda Civic” which is probably the most reliable aside from Toyotas, but they’re also #1 on the most stolen cars list.
I politely told him I’m going to retire in my Jeep and told him “thanks for your concern”.
If you like your ride, keep it. Don’t let others influence your life style. You be you, enjoy life! Keep on Jeeping! ✌

Reliable = boring. That said, our JKU has 220,000 miles (many offroad) on 37s and all we have replaced is the battery, brake pads, and alternator in the past 15 years.

Trying to compare a Jeep to a civic or a camry for reliability is foolish. Unmodified, boring as all hell, cruising through the Starbucks drive thru? Of course the cars are more reliable. Now run all 3 through the Rubicon trail? My money is on the Jeep being far more reliable. Or simply lift all 3 and put 37s on them? Even in the Starbucks drive thru I'm betting on the Jeep. Or make a more realistic comparison. Jeep vs Bronco vs 4runner. I'm still betting on the Jeep on hard trails period. If your only requirements are 4 tires and reliability on road buy a Toyota of Honda car. If you actually want to use it hard off road and still make it back to the Starbucks drive thru there is no more reliable vehicle period.

I am on wrangler rubicon #5 and my 2024 jlur does not give me the warm and fuzzy as far as reliability goes..my first 4 all all jkur with one jkr the mix never gave me any concern about reliability and going far off road.. my new one does not give me the same confidence. wish it did.

I am very glad I had my Civics during my working and commuting life, now that I’m retired and not driving as much the Jeep is my ride.
If I was still working I would keep a Civic around just to go to work everyday.

If that Honda had been through a fraction of the stuff our Jeeps go through, it would be a lot less reliable in those stupid push polls…err, surveys that tell everyone how reliable everything is.

Most sedan owners tell people to get rid of their Jeeps.

In my younger days 3 woman commenced to tell me how I should be married. I said, aren't you all divorced!

Exactly, I saw a video said that Jeeps are the only vehicles that are fully upgradable from tires to roofs, can’t take the roof off a civic(unless it’s chopped off, but then can you put it back the same way), our hardtops can go to soft tops in minutes. Can’t take your civic off-road neither. Good luck getting through 2 ft of snow if it’s lowered like I know a lot of civic owners like it with their Godzilla exhaust, stage 3 tune. FastnFurious died when PW died, it’s not the same.

I am at 18,700 smiles on my 2024 and it has had zero issues. That Honda Civic driver sounds like the fox in the Fox and grapes.

My sweet grape 😃👍

Nice Jeep, I think I seen this one on a YouTube I recently watched! I recognize the Jack on top the hood. 😂
