Poll: JL Reliability

Reading this forum doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in the reliability of the JL. I realize that much of that is because many people come here to talk about problems and not about the lack of them. If you are willing to fill out the poll about your problems or lack thereof, maybe it will shed a little light on the reliability of the new JL so far.

I'm interested in the type of problems that would leave you stranded somewhere, not the ones that just annoy you .

I haven't had a single issue at all. My JL has been phenomenally more reliable than any of the JKs I owned at this stage.

Out of the thousands of JLs out there already you are only reading about a handful with issues. Keep in mind most people only list the issues they have, not the ones they dont.

8k miles and zero issues. Mine was an early build, delivered at the end of January.

Edit...9000 trouble free miles, now. Hopefully, after doing Moab in October, I'll be well past 10k with no issues.

I have 400 mi on my Rubi and I am trouble free! I have been worried about some posting but I know several persons who bought a 2018 and all are still trouble free!

Just at 3200 miles and no problems at all other than about $6000 in hail damage! Hope it keeps going strong.

I'm at 8000, including 2000 towing, no issues.

100% trouble free at 500 miles.

No real mechanical problems, thank goodness.

But.....

1. Yellowing of grill
2. Loose heat shield
3. Loose ball joints
4. Wonky tierod end

All within 3700 miles. But this is all in the passed, everything is good now!

I'm sorry about those of you who have experienced problems, but am glad to see the majority who participated in this admittedly un-scientific poll have been problem-free.

Makes me feel a little better - I'm due to pick up my JL this week!

What was the resolution of the yellowing of the grill? Are they re-painting or replacing with new factory painted grill?

The dealership ended up repainting it. The whole process took about a week to complete. I am happy with the result, time will tell if it is totally fixed.
