If you are worried about a failure within 5000 miles, get a different car. Every make/model has a minor number of problem builds. It is extremely unfortunate that it happens. A poll result should not be enough to change your mind. Do you see JLs lines up at dealer service areas? If you think you have a valid concern of something major failing in 5000 miles, go get another car, or a JK, or wait for the 2022 model years, when maybe you can do a meaningful survey with vehicles of 50k miles instead of 5k miles.

So according to this poll, I have a 2% chance of not making it home from the dealer.

Lol, this poll isn't scientific. I'd bet it is a lot lower than that, in reality. They sold over 15,000 Wranglers in September. I doubt 300 of them couldn't make it home. Heck, I doubt 30 of them had that kind of issue right off the lot.

You have to realize that 90% of the people on a forum fall into two categories. Super enthusiasts and people with problems looking for help or to vent. The average Jeep buyers won’t be on here.
With that in mind, many of the answers in the poll are given by people that are pissed off, or people so infatuated with it that they will overlook many flaws.
All I can say is that mine is pushing 4000 with no problems.

I started in indiana and i drove all through the Smoky mountains...to the ocean ..and then the entire blue ridge parkway and back. Over 2400 miles in 5 days. I have taken it off road twice at an off road park. Drove in sand dunes, creeks, water holes to the floor boards, mountains and curvy roads .. around 7K miles. No major issues. I had a sway bar link pop off after off-roading and warranty took care of it. I love this thing more and more every day I drive it .

Hence why I said "according to this poll".

As this (unscientific) poll stands now, 85% report zero problems.

My ESS took a chit and had to bring it in. WIsh it didnt have that stupid feature but it works now and I have to remember to shut the thing off. Other then that I just think about the jeep and smile.

If you want trouble free typically you look other places then a usa car. No one comes close to this vehicle so here we are. My last jeep was a 97 wrangler that I had for 21 years. No major issues, a few minor weird ones. With so many bells and whistles on this new one I dont expect not to have some weird troubles. I bought vehicle insurance just in case. Very cheap, like 40 bucks a year with a 250 deductible.
