Yesterday, my Jeep started displaying this flashing light on the dash about the rear locker. At no time have I ever tried to engage the lockers. I've just been driving back and forth down I-85 all weekend for soccer tournaments. The manual says when the light is flashing the rear locker is either trying to connect or disconnect. I can't get the light to stop flashing no matter what I do with one exception. If I put it into 4Lo, then it'll say engaged and I can switch from front and rear to just rear, etc. However, when getting out of 4Lo, it just flashes and won't stop in any other configuration, 4Hi, 4Auto, 2H.

One other thing that I noticed when changing my dash to show the above image, the oil pressure shows no reading, just --. Very weird. Going out to check the oil level right now. I just got the oil changed last Friday.

Edit: Oil level is fine.

i would take it to the dealer. sounds like the sensor failed that tells the BCM the locker is on or off. its a know issue that seems to fall between the cracks. Luckily you can now get just the sensor and not need the full axle to be replaced like they did a couple years back -_-. quick fix though under warranty

Excellent, thanks for the quick response, @Maverick909
No Problem, This was the exact reason i did not buy a rubicon. I went with a sport S and swapped in rubicon axles. This allowed me to not have to worry about the sensor failing and the computer freaking out. I was able to just run the locker from the switch pod and it has given me zero issues and always seems to work.... thus far LOL 3 years and counting with thousands of miles off road LOL. Hopefully your dealer can get the part in quick. its super simple to swap out once the part is in hand

Thanks, @sourdough - this helped me search for a writeup on the topic.

Thanks to @chevymitchell for this. I will probably go through the dealership still for a warranty fix, especially now that all 3 of my kids are back in travel soccer and between that and college football starting soon I'll have zero weekends free to do much until Dec. However, if the dealership can't get to me for a while I will certainly make time for this project.

Get new units and pot them. Dealerservice is my last resort.
What do you mean when you say POT your sensors?

I did a little digging and I think I figured it out.

POT "Plain Old Tar" Fill your electronic device some sort of Plain Old Tar to ensure it doesn't get other shmoo in it to eff with the angry pixies.
