Replaced my axles with chromoly. I’m doing so initially ordered the wrong axle (non rubi axle shaft not rubi). Resulted in needing to remove the axles and replace with the correct size. The issue is that when removing the driver side I found diff oil in the tube but not in the passenger side. I cannot seem to locate a part or part number for the inner seal which I believe I damaged in swapping the axles. Dealer has told me there aren’t any that the fluid should run out to the wheel bearing. I am pretty sure there is a seal on the inside (where the shaft enters the diff/pumpkin. Can anyone confirm there is one there and further anyone have a part number for such? Or is the dealer actually right and the newer JLs don’t have one. Axle is a 2020 rubi rear. Appreciate the help.

I swapped my rear recently and there was a small amount of oil in the passenger side but none in the driver.

Pretty sure there is a seal, as you have to get it lined up with “something” near the diff in order to fully push it in.

I am about half the time wrong, (LOL) but my recollection is your axle seal is at the end of the tube by your wheels and there is a bearing (a possible seal too) at the pumpkin side. When I had a leak, I replaced the seal at the end of the axle. My $.02 ?‍♂

There definitely is an outer axle seal toward the wheel bearing/hub. Think there is an inner seal too that keeps the fluid in the pumpkin by all the bearings and gears in the diff. Guess I’ll have to pop the cover and check it out. I’ll post what I find and if I ever happen to find a part number.

Just a thought. Your fill level is just a tad bit higher than the bottom of your rear axle tube.
I'll be following for your findings. ?

There is no inner axle seal in the rear axle. The gear oil runs down the tube to lubricate the outer bearings. If you lift up one side of the axle it drains to the other side. If you drain the axle it won't have much in the tubes.
