Daily driver, not hard wheeling. Don’t want to go back in again.

Replacing the ball joints at 130k miles. I heard complaints about spicer? Not sure why.

A friend said better swap out the axles seals before I come out. I’d hate to have New ones leak when the old don’t

I thought inner axle seals require removal of the carrier….???? Seems like a lot of work to do just because you changed ball joints…..

Yeah, I’ve done ball joints. I’m talking about having to remove the ring gear carrier assembly out of the diff to get to the seals. The seals are just outboard of the carrier bearings.
The driver side seal is there. The passenger side is on the outside of the FAD housing.

I would not replace 6 year old axle seals. If they were 12+ years old, sure.

@sherpaJL Looks like the Passenger side would have been easier.

Anyone recommend the best seals to use since I need to replace?
I went with spicer brand. I don't have the part numbers off hand. But they're easy to look up.
