Hi everyone i'm glad I found this thread! I thought I was going crazy hearing that sound in a brand new Jeep. Mine has done it since new 2018 JL manual. I thought for a long time it was just me getting used the the manual again and lugging it a bit, but the wife bought a 2019 automatic with only 2000 miles on it now and hers makes the noise too! Although hers sounds less lugging than mine with more millage.
I tried the mid grade Chevron gas and it does help a bit, but not completely.
I might try a different oil next. I'm using full synthetic but I might try a cycle of part synthetic to see?
Another thing I wondered about is the ethanol they add to gas in Washington State. Maybe the 3.6 just does not like it?
When I bought the extended warranty I felt like I was getting robbed, but now I'm glad I got it just in case this engine fails!
