I didn't realize Willys came with 3.45s and 32s. That's fairly under-geared. Looking at 1820rpms at 70mph in 6th, vs 1860 for a sport, or 2123 for a rubi. I drove for over a year with 3.45 gears and 33s and I couldn't stand it, basically left it in 4th gear unless above 80 (which I really don't...
You have a willys, what size tires, is it the stock tire size? Because if your gears are matched to your tires this isn't the case. I routinely pass people in 6th and I can drive the 1.5 hours to a nearby city I drive to often in 6th without ever shifting.
I have 4.88 gears and 37s, so its fairly equal to 4.10 and 33s (as in stock, not sure what you have), and my driveway is on a slope and I don't even touch the gas backing into my garage. I can basically dump the clutch and let it idle up my driveway.
4.10 is absolutely the sweet spot with 33s. The gearing straight from the factory for the Rubi is perfect. In my sport (with 33s) 6th was useless, but 5th was fine. My rubi completely stock was perfectly setup.

I have a resonance around 2400rpm in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd - turns out it is my fire extinguisher mounted on the roll bar. Where does it sound like it is coming from?
There really is no easy or cheap way to do it. You are looking at a lift, gears, steering linkage, the tires themselves, potentially wheels if you are still stock wheels, potentially drive shafts as well. Steering linkage will survive till it doesn't and honestly same goes for axle shafts.
I...
Mine almost blew all the way off, but I caught it before it came all the way out. The rubber/plastic C-channel that slides over the rail attached to the roof part was widened at one section from the dealer. It looks like at some point someone took the window off without sliding the C-channel off...

When my Rubi was stock and now that I have 37s and 4.88 gears its the same, I am in 6th at like 50. Driving around at 45mph on normal streets I am in 5th. Never have any problems passing without downshifting but if I need to I do a quick 5th to 4th or 6th to 4th shift and its fine.
When I had...
