That is probably an additional fee for Title and Tags they just have a generic price of 300 on. Which you would think should be covered under the Doc fee but its not at most dealers.See attached. I didn't push and ask what specifically that meant. I probably would have if I chose to move forward with them.

@Ratbert any chance of adding an AEV dealer column? I am going to sit down and try to match it up, but thought you might have better first hand knowledge of dealers wiling to deal AND are AEV authorized. If not, can any one recommend a couple options? SInce I will be picking it up from the factory, don't really care where I order it from.

Dan Cummins is the only dealership that I'm aware of that's offering these discounts and is also AEV certified.
Do not go through Lindsey. She was fine up to the point that I picked it up, but has screwed up several things since then. E.g. no tags on it when I picked it up in Michigan, forgot to charge our credit union for the Jeep (?!?!?!?), screwed up the registration with the CO DMV, screwed up the registration with the CO DMV again. I had to get an extension from the CO DMV, so I still don't have final plates after picking it up in early July. As far as I can tell she still hasn't cleared up the DMV crap.
Did I mention to not go through Lindsey?
Martin @ Dan Cummins, however, seems to have his shit together. He's their AEV point person so you'll end up working with him anyways.

Has anyone in the SC area had any luck with Galeana in Columbia? Looking at the spreadsheet I was hoping I would be able to score a better deal than Gupton or Capital with a shorter drive, but communication with them over email has been less than stellar. I'm pretty sure they have a group email persona named "Zoey" that they use to field and filter emails coming in.

Doc fee is a straight up profit that goes to ownership. A $300 government fee to me would look like an estimated Plate Fee (given that its a straight $300), which seems pretty low but it differes by state. A new Wrangler where I live would be about $800/year for the first year plate.

I think you are referring to a state vehicle tax that you have to pay in Arizona as part of annual registration. That will depend on your location and the dealer shouldnt charge for that in the sale (unless its an additional requirement by the state to get your new registration). In VA we pay a separate personal property tax to the county on vehicles but is not part of annual registration.

No, I went straight to Gupton, easy direct flight from CHS. Picked me up at the airport, in and out in a hour.

I've had the best communication experience with Gupton so far as well. Where did you fly into, Nashville? Was there an additional charge for the pickup?

Im glad to hear that you have a positive experience. However , it is not my case. I have email Renee and get a quote from her. I sent her another email to add the dual top group and she has not reply back at all. I have sent about 6 email requesting the change and letting her know that I am ready to buy , I even ask for another contact so I can finalize the deal but she is nowhere to be found. I’ll go to with Koons at VA.
