I see this quite often at work. Thus now we carry a selection of coin batteries and change them out. My VW warns you for about a month but that thing goes through batteries about every 10-12 months. Top it off, you have to put the dead key fob next to the steering column (where the ignition key would go on an older version) then reach over on the center console to push the button. Not the greatest design.last week I got that message and I put a new battery in the fob
I'm wondering if it's a leak for the brake booster. That would make it harder to start to where you have to push down real hard. For example I've had Jeeps apart where I've had to disconnect the brake booster. Thus on startup, I had to push real hard to get it to start.I've been surprised by the ACC mode 1-2 times myself. As suggested, give the brake pedal a proper push.
