I was under the impression that to start the Jeep you had to push and hold the brake pedal and then push the start button. I noticed today that I can lightly tap the brake, remove my foot from the brake pedal, push the start button and it still starts.
Mine went in for repairs for not starting after it got hot so wondering if this is a change from the original factory setting or either procedure works.
FYI - mine is 8 speed auto.
