Alf you are absolutely correct. I disconnected and inspected the driver side harness and sure enough it repeatedly kept bending back one of the pins. Finally got it sorted out and having working mirrors and door features.

I know we're talking about FCA here, but they really should have considered engineering a connection that is meant to be disconnected over and over again. They likely used a similar connection to something in a normal car that is never disconnected over the life of the vehicle and therefore won't experience bent pins.

I have the same problem and I looked at the pins on mine and can't find anything wrong with them. I pulled the fuse, reset and nothing. tomorrow it goes into the shop to see what they can find. I am curious to see what my dealer comes up with. My remote start isn't working either.

Well, i should be embarrassed in myself. I checked the driver's door pins on the quick disconnect but did not check my passenger's door. In the end, it was a bent passenger door pin that was causing my problems. It wasn't a wasted trip though, Jeff Belzer's fixed my pins, replaced my steering damper under a recall, took care of my free oil change and did a front end alignment all with-in 3 hours. Next time i will pay closer attention to the wise advice of this forum.

I've had similar issue with bent pins in the door connector causing the passenger mirror from being able to work. And this was after my first time taking door on and off. It's crazy that they used such tiny pins susceptible to bending. This connector should have been made much sturdier.

I was looking for this to fix my issue as well. Are the bent pins usually in the door side or the car body side. I will have to have a look when i get home from work.

thanks

Pins are on the car body side connector not the connecter coming from the door.

I had the same problem today. I had the doors off for a few days (first time), stored them safely. When I put them on, neither side mirror was working, although the door locks and power start did work. I also got the warning that the blind spot alert was temporarily disabled. I checked the plugs to ensure they were tight and latched - still no movement on the mirrors.

I inspected the driver's side - all pins were good. Upon inspection of the passenger's side, I noticed one pin, slightly bent. I straightend the pin and to my surprise both mirrors returned to full functionality.

It is baffling that Jeep would design such a substandard plug for a plug that, more than likely, will get unplugged/plugged dozens of times over the lifetime of the vehicle.

Did you or anyone else take a picture of the bent pins? I am having the same problem after replacing my doors and I canā€™t tell if any are actually bent. It has affected both mirrors on mine as well.

I just fixed mine this morning but didnā€™t take a picture. The remote start and power mirrors werenā€™t working but door locks and proximity worked.

I had to detach the connector from the inside body of the Jeep so I can see the pins. Some of the smaller pins were slightly bent upward compared to the others but itā€™s not something very obvious. I bent them back with a tiny screwdriver so that they line up with the others and everything worked when I reconnected. Both of my doors had bent pins.

Best picture of the pins I could get. I have a few other angles but not as good on clarity.
