Sorry for another one of these mirror threads but I’ve read all the others and haven’t nailed down my issue. I have a new to me 2018 JLU Sahara and neither of the power mirror work, but all other features seem to. I’ve replaced the switch on the drivers door, checked the harnesses and pins on both doors, cleaned both harnesses, confirmed the fuse in 96 is good, but still no luck. The door locks work, dash door indicator working properly, proximity unlock feature works, dome light works, it’s just the mirrors not working.

Seems odd that both mirror motors would be out. What am I missing?

I had the same problem with a Sport S. It turned out to be the wiring harness between the door and cab. I lived with it for quite sometime and then it started to honk the horn when you closed the door and lock the doors automatically but the issue started with the mirrors not working and only got worse. The harness on the drivers door was the issue.

My 18 had the same issue, everything appeared to be correct and there were no bent pins in the connectors and no stored trouble codes in the BCM. I added the proximity door handles which required new door harnesses, my mirrors have worked fine since then.

What do you mean you’ve checked the wiring? With your eyes or with a meter?

Thanks for the feedback - seems obvious about the wiring and I definitely should've thought about that. I'll pull the wiring harness to the door this weekend and check the wires and report back.

If it is a broken wire, be sure to figure out why the harness is getting stretched more than designed. Something must be misaligned or improperly installed. Check the other side for comparison.
Otherwise, you could repair the wire and have the same issue again.

Nah the wires get cold, hard and dry, and just snap at the bend. It’s extremely common.

Turns out the main power wire for the mirrors in the harness on the door was broken/pinched in half, so I fixed that and they're working again. Good call on the wires, can't believe I didn't check that. Here's a pic for anyone else who runs into this.
