I am still waiting to hear back from Jeep Cares - I called Jeep and was denied a claim for being one month out of corrosion warranty, it was even "fixed" a year ago and its back. Jeep only has 31k. If they refuse then i probably wont get it repainted. Seriously considering a paint matched LineX Ultra paint job. Jeep is paid off, never gonna sell it. Would be stronger than non factory paint. we will see.

While doing a deep clean on my 2018 JLUR, noticed this for the 1st time today. Unacceptable for a vehicle I have religiously maintained since new. (54k miles) I guess I’m just sh!t out of luck at this point? @JeepCares is there anything you can do? Any goodwill campaign?

I'm on my 3rd or 4th case manager in the last month. They call every few days with updates, but they're all from India and very hard to understand. Glad they send occasional emails as well.

From everything I can find, there have been no updates or new filings in the lawsuit since 2/23. Heartbroken, but my Wrangler will be long gone before there is any settlement.

They'd have to retool the manufacturing process in order to fix the issue. With a new Wrangler due in a few years, I don't see them investing millions in doing that.
I don't think it is a retool problem. I think it is related to the automated replenishing of the cleaning/prep chemical dip prior to base painting. Running the tank too long without renewing the dip/prep solution. That's why some vehicles have a problem but not most or all. If your doors went thru when it was consumed, they were not properly prepped before painting. If your doors went thru on fresh dip solution, you are golden.

Painting the doors after the hinges are on and hung on the vehicle is definitely an issue. The door is bare aluminum under those hinges which is 100% the issue with corrosion forming in that area

After all this talk of corrosion(2 years worth), and @JeepCares is quiet. A couple of posts and a link to a class action lawsuit, regarding the corrosion, and @JeepCares wants to "Help"??
Classic.

Although this is primarily a hinge area problem it does occur on panel edges. I suspect it is a prep problem!

Yep. It's both manufacturing and panel prep.
Panel seams aren't properly primed/sealed. Moisture gets into the door cavity or the slightest opening in the paint and corrosion starts. New TSB specifies proper procedure to prep the new panels for painting. Treating the inside of the replacement door with a cavity wax is also a good idea.

(55K miles) I guess I’m just out of luck at this point, but if I am, I will not be ever buying another one!! in fact, while I love this vehicle, I won’t have it much longer, which is sad. This is the only car my entire family has ever owned that got rust and we’ve owned a lot of cars so this is super sad that a garage maintained vehicle can look like this.! @JeepCares is there anything you can do? Any goodwill campaign?
