Moving forward like a herd of turtles! ICYMI 30 days for 4 doors & 8 hinges. 60 days to get a slot at the paint shop! 5/20/24 is my paint day!

Took a month for the dealer to get my 4 doors and 8 hinges. Now two months till they can get it into an off site paint shop!

My last go round with the "care team" advised me to tell the dealer what to do! After months of trying to get the dealer to get off the dime and fix it, I'm supposed to teach him his job! :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Gotta' love that Punk'n! The fact that 62% + have paint issues is atrocious. The fact that they don't even try to repaint is very telling. Just order new panels & hinges.

Doors & hinges ordered on 2/19/24. Got a call today and scheduled for the off site paint shop on 5/20/24.

Only two gripes so far on my 2020 JLU 1. Before I did any mods on the ESS I wanted to force the dealer to make it work. Took them 3 tries (18 months) to get their feces in one sock. Not a big fan of ESS but hey, I paid for it! 2. Last year they replaced the hood & hinges for bubbling paint. I...

IBS is "reset" when power is removed. It then goes through the "learning cycle" over the next few ignition on/off cycles.

There is a list of conditions that must be met to allow the ESS to engage. Doors, seatbelts, hood, A/C, and the list goes on. I did notice my ESS does not activate if the A/C is on auto but will work if set on high. Good luck!

The ESS system along with the entire electronic system is interrelated. Battery charging is controlled by an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS). If one or both batteries has a low charge (under 70%), won't pass a load test, or is sulfated, you can chase your tail looking for a problem. Each time...

Glad to hear that the wife is back in action. You are having the same problem I had. Other than ESS not operating and "battery charging" all was well. My 2020 JLU was still in warranty when I started to complain to the dealer. Eventually they replaced both batteries, the IBS, and the fuse block...
