Seems like the message only pops up for me every couple days. It will be consistent when it is happening, but then it disappears the next day. I still do have a weird issue of what seems like fuel cut in WOT (occasionally fuel cuts then continues), but the message will not pop up. Seems like switching to 93 and putting a bottle of HEET injector cleaner/water remover into the tank has helped.

22 jl2.0 1700 miles I only put shell premium gas and drive the car very gently. I've already seen this message few times. Yesterday I was giving gentle acceleration after a traffic light stop and saw this message. Looks like wide spread issue. See the attached pic. I'm advised by my salesmen to bring in the car to dealership. Not sure what to do I'm lost here.

Interesting that you saw it on acceleration. Most of us seem to have only seen it on decel or coasting. When I saw it decelerating, I floored it and immediately the message went away. I'm curious if you tried accelerating hard and what happened?

I kid. Join the club! There doesn't actually seem to be any real performance impact. I'm hoping Jeep can figure this out.


As a side note, everyone here should be contacting their dealers now. My service advisor at the dealership told me that forums aren't that trustworthy and you shouldn't go off what you read on them. Well, if we ALL contact our dealer and waste their time, maybe Jeep will do something about this? They're just dragging their feet currently hoping the problem just goes away on its own.

@hiimmike Dealership installed a flight recorder last week to track the system when it happens. I'd demand it for yours at this point. I've caught it twice so far so I'll probably take it back next week for a reading

All these FIne Solutions provided by the majority of "Super Highly Trained ASE certified Master Jeep techs" in this thread has been quite entertaining.

Anyways.... Has anyone experienced this pop up more or less while having ESS on or off??

i know the 2.0T is Direct Injected meaning that there would be a High pressure fuel pump instead of the fuel rails and a low pressure pump in the tank. Now given that the warning is [ fuel system related] i could only assume that havving this feature On would mess with the System and cause that warning at least for me that is.... but like the aerospace guy said it could just be software related and having more electronics monitoring systems could give warnings for any hiccup the hurricane engine has.

Are you stupid or something? It’s clearly NOT. It’s most obviously a problem with the electronic sway bar disconnect, or lack there of on the non-rubicon models. ??

I always have ESS turned off and I’m certain every time I’ve seen the message, it’s been disabled. I’m having a seat cover replaced because the stitching is coming undone and I think they’re going to do more of nothing at that point to “help” me with this. Hopefully this week the seat fabric will come in.
