So funny, mine happened again today on the way home from work.

I'm just going to keep driving it until they figure out the problem.

Literally the first thing they checked after pulling the non-existent code log.
Did you hear anything after the flight recorder?

I've painstakingly read through this whole thread, over the last 15-20 minutes. It seems to me, a possible water/sensor issue, from the start. I've owned diesel pickups for 22 yrs and water in fuel can cause a lot of issues, especially with direct injection engines. Someone else said they added HEET, and hasn't had the issue since. just get some good quality additive, that removes water from gasoline, and drive the snot out of it. Then report back.

Put 2 bottles of it over the course of a month, and drove it extremely hard during that time. Right after I put the bottle of HEET in and let it cycle somewhat I started to get what seemed like a fuel cut (could have been the crap being removed), then it progressively got better (message wouldn’t show up). I put the last bottle in a little over 2 weeks ago now, and I’ve only had the message appear once yesterday after I filled up, but with no other issues. Great improvement from seeing this message consistently.

Popped up again today. Two times in two days. I'm still going to keep driving it.

To be clear: it doesn't *remove* water, it emulsifies it, which E10+ gas already does. Since HEET has cleaners, I'd be more likely to infer that is what had an impact.

I did the same thing for my PT when it would idle rough and misfire all over the RPM range (I hardly drove it and ethanol gas doesn't keep) with Royal Purple.

At 1/4 tank, I put in a bottle of Royal Purple and filled the tank with gas, and drove it like I stole it, didn't use overdrive, kept exhaust gas temps up. I noticed improvement quickly and 1/2 tank or so later, it was back to normal. I've only ever run 93-octane in it (91 when I lived in CO, 94 in PA), so that wasn't the issue. I found a Shell that has ethanol-free 93 and will be using that henceforth.

Yes, I know it doesn't remove it, but it basically suspends it(emulsifies it) which allows it to he burned off, a little at a time. I was just making the point, more simplified. This Ethanol gas really sucks, for the engine, emissions, Mpg, and performance.

Jeep is in the shop as of this morning, the dealer is working with an engineer from STAR, whatever that is. I'm not even hopeful at this point. I'm expecting the dealer to come back and tell me, "you have to make sure there isn't pocket lint in your wheel well.

As a licensed boat Captain, E10 has caused many issues within the marine industry. E10 ABSORBS water it does not emulsifying it. This is not good on any engines. Here's a good read from the Brunswick Corp on E10.

Update today: “Hey Mr. Thompson, Devin from Jeep. The "Performance Limited, service fuel system" warning message Chrysler is aware of and there is no fix for it at this time.”

At least they’re acknowledging it finally. No idea what next steps are.

Well, I saw this message pop up today. Add me to the list of just wait and see. 3800 kms. Glad it happened to me rather than the wife, as she may have been worried about it. I guess like everyone else, we’ll just drive it till there is a fix. If a fix is even needed.
