Midsize pickups have never been any good for payload. Most minivans have higher payload than midsize pickups, and even some configurations of half-ton pickups.

Minivans are vastly underrated for hauling duty. With the second row removed/stowed, you can stack 4x8 sheets to the ceiling (I've done it). Try that in ANY pickup with a <8ft bed.

Impressive work with the minivan. I creatively fit (5) 37s on beadlocks into ours.
