I got away from the daily grind last December and did a night of snow/winter camping in -15C (5F).

Further reinforcing my belief that Canadians are hardier stock than their neighbors. ?

Hello Gerald.

I just found your video. I saw that you come from Canada and also drive a yellow Rubicon. We want to do a tour of Canada for 6 months in 2025 with our yellow Rubicon. Maybe we'll meet up. Your winter camping is beautiful. I did a polar tour through Scandinavia in 2022. About 8 weeks, 10,000 km, the lowest temperature was -38 degrees Celsius, almost always slept in the roof and saw the incredible northern lights.

What I was missing is this best chicken burger from your video.

Dear forum, whoever is reading, we are still trying to learn a lot about Canada and maybe there are a few opportunities to get to know nice people through this forum that we can get to know on our trip next year. We can't sleep in a roof tent for 6 months (but we can also cook for everyone). Whoever is in Europe, our door is always open to the world when we are at home ;). Maybe we should create a separate post for this?

I wrote a travel report in the German forum. German is a damn difficult, strange language but there are now good translation tools. Maybe someone will have fun with it.

Northern Lights Tour 2023 There are also lots of pictures at the end.

Kind regards Vivian and Sven

Wow, beautiful places to camp!

If you come through Canada, let me know! I'm in the prairies, so not much scenic stuff here (lots of lakes!). If I'm not around, someone else from the Red River Jeep Club will gladly take over.
