It appears, at first glance, you were parked facing traffic on the left side of the road. She hit you with enough force to shove the Jeep up over the curb with its right rear tire locked (skid mark). The Jeep swung in the direction of the impact leaving its tail out to the left which caused it to end up in the tree with her behind you.

There is no Neutral anything, no parallel parking, no "I just don't know..." You were parked on the wrong side of the street, she was texting and drifted into your parked Jeep. It was her fault, but why were you parked on the wrong side of the street?
probably not parked on the wrong side of the street but maybe facing the wrong direction. Of course I have looked at the pic multiple times and can't figure out what happened so I won't make any assumptions

It's true. Especially the up and coming younger generation. Too worried about texting and social media while driving.

Pretty much why I gave up riding motorcycles. It's a death trap out there.
Exactly the same reason I don't ride anymore.

I'm guessing you didn't have GAP insurance? I know some people here think it's a waste but it helped us when we totaled our Liberty years ago.
GAP wouldn't have helped in my situation. I was paid more than I owed but paid $11,000 less than the value of what I had invested into it.

Ah. That's a fair point considering how much aftermarket upgrades folks make to their Jeeps...

Yep. If it was my fault I could see where the insurance company wouldn't cover the mods without me purchasing extra protection, but even when not being at fault, beware and keep your old stock parts available to swap out with the mods that survived if ever involved in an accident and the Jeep is totaled.

If you are hit by Geico driver and you have extra dealer options, they will value your Jeep as a Jeep with bare bone options and then from there add the value of your dealer options at whatever they think they are worth. In my case (not being at fault) they gave me $0 for my aftermarket options and gave me $1,775 for my $10,720 in dealer options for my totaled JLUR:

Auto transmission package cost me $2,500, Gecico valued it at $500
LED light package cost me $1,465, Geico valued it at $75
Leather seat package cost me $1,625, Geico valued it at $400
Safety group cost me $995, Geico valued it at $200
Tow package cost me $845, Geico valued it at $100
Steel bumper package cost me $1,745, Geico valued it at $0
Hardtop package cost me $1,545, Geico valued it at $500

I lost about $2,000 in unrecoverable mods and about $9,000 in the dealer options...in a time when buying a new Jeep was impossible and a used one cost more than a new one. That is why I don't agree with the comment that, " you will never find a better buyer than insurance company."
