Looks like we’re joining the club. Took out the factory passenger on Windrock 16 this weekend. BSM still works, but no lights, wasn’t a fun 4 hour trip home with no right turn signal.

Local dealer said national back order and $750 for the one light!

Mm. Factory LED w/BSM.

Hopefully you've followed the thread. The Oracle lights won't be plug and play; you'll need to program away the Bulb Out warning and be prepared for potential reduction in BSM functionality.

There are lower cost retrofits available on Amazon, etc., although I can't say if they allow BSM integration (at least in name) as the Oracles do.

Ordered as soon as I got back to the cabin off the trail. I read the last few pages of this one, my Tazer will take care of the warning?

Well, lights should be here tomorrow from Northridge, but I'm glad I watched the install video last night.

Didn't realize that the "brackets" are a separate part and not included with the oracles. I believe mine is broken in half. Ordered just the bracket from the dealer last night, and woke up to a "order canceled" email due to "national backorder". Damn.

Every used light on ebay comes with no bracket, most of the new aftermarket brackets are from China with 2 week shipping. Found a couple that are new OEM in the states with one left, fingers crossed it's actually in stock.

FYI if anyone has the same issue, PN (looks like they are universal regardless of LED/BSM):

Also.... do know that once you install those Oracles, your blind spot monitoring will not work as you remember... will be iffy at best.

IF you off road a lot, having spare brackets makes sense...

Yup, there was one more on ebay in Arkansas I ordered since it seemed to be the closest for quicker shipping.

With the limited availability and cost of the OEM, I'm going to at least give the Oracle's a shot and see how the BSM does.

I'll post some pictures of what I did to the stock one when I untape it and pull it apart, I think I also have some gopro video of the section where it happened. The rear slid sideways and tagged the side of a tall mud "rut" on a hill climb. That caught the outer edge of the assembly, and broke all but one of the clips, took out one of the side mounted reflectors, cracked the black plastic part of the housing on three sides, and sheared the bracket.

I always thought the plastic sprung bolt that holds them in was supposed to act as a weak link and give way to save the light, but doesn't look like that happened in my case. Maybe the horizontal pressure of the impact didn't allow it to work.

BSM with those Oracles will be laughable .... not work much at all like they used to with the sotck lights...

Not saying not to go with the Oracles because of the BSM thing but just mentioning it .... BSM will not be the same..

I posted long ago about how easy it is for asshat's to steal a JL tail light. Just go up to it and slam it real real hard on the side and that bracket you are ordering breaks and the light can be quickly janked out. IF they do you a favor they will disconnect the wiring connector versus cutting your harness...

As for the nylon retainer bolt with spring, (Taillight white spring screw: Part # 06512356AA)
that can be easily stripped or broken when removing it / installing it.... or sure, thanks to tweaking of light when lamp is struck in an off road hit.

Still waiting on the bracket, so it’s rigged on right now (internal cable ties, exterior tape). Still got to get the other side on and test out BSM.

Destroyed the tail light, but impressed with the Oracles so far.

Thank you. The two housings are not interchangeable so someone could not make this error.

Our development team has looked into the reports about the BSM not performing as expected. First, we would recommend ensuring that the tail light is clean. This is a known problem with JLs and is noted in the owner’s manual: “The area on taillights, where the radar sensors are located, must remain free of snow, ice, and dirt/road contamination so that the BSM system can function properly. Do not block the taillights where the radar sensors are located with foreign objects (bumper stickers, bicycle racks, etc.).” If anyone has further questions after this, please let us know.

This is not the case. I understand that it may look that way based on the external panel position, but the sensor is not angled to shoot directly out the back. The interior sensor cradle is angled similarly to the OEM tail light towards the corners. Here's a photo of this:

I just installed mine yesterday. No BSM, brand new lights, no sticker, no snow, no ice, clean, and the BSM not working. Solutions @ORACLElights ??

I totally understand the function of these if trying to eliminate the risk of damage from having a tail light hanging off the rear of the Jeep. However, I don't think the OEM version looks bloated. Wranglers are chunky vehicles and I think the chunky tail lights fit the design.

This is not to say that I think the flush lights look bad. I actually think they look cool. But on a vehicle that has a chunky design they almost look out of place. If Jeep goes with a less chunky design on the JM, I can see something like these being a better aesthetic fit. Of course this is all opinion and neither of us are wrong.

I have the Oracle Black tail lights and was considering the flush mounts if I could get them in black like my current tails but Oracle said a black version wasn't in the plans. But if I'm being honest I think I just want them because they are different and would help my Wrangler stand out a bit from the crowd..... not because they look 'better'. I attached a pic of my current Oracle Black tails for reference.

I think I may be the only forum member who thinks these flush mount oracles are ugly af and make the rear of the Jeep look retarded lol
The OEM LEDs are much better looking, imo. To each his own I guess:like:

I sent pictures 2 weeks ago on the PS light that had water in it even though she is garaged daily and they sent one out no charge, no issues, and was very cool about it. All the products I've bought from them have been excellent customer service so I'm pretty confident in them. But I'll chime back in after a while and see how it goes.

Installed mine on Friday. Easy install, they work great and look great. Very bright back-up lights as others have noted.
___________
I have the factory LED option but haven't noticed any dash messages. What message shows up on the dash, and in which dash screen? Maybe a "blown bulb" message is there and I just haven't noticed? If nothing shows up then I might not bother with Jscan/Tazer solutions(?).
___________
Curious about the water ingress some have seen, and why it would show up with the Oracle flush mounts and not the OEM lights since the seal to the tub is the same?

When I had the lights out, I noticed there are holes in the tub-body leading down to the wheel well. Maybe the water ingress is from that? Water splashing up and making its way from wheel well up into the tail light cavity?
