I ended up ordering a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3 37x12.5R17's. They weigh in at 68lbs and are 36.5" in diameter.
I was being a bit flippant when I mentioned the 39" KO2, but I checked the details this morning. Using BFG'S 540 rev's/mile their 39 is actually 37.3" in diameter. At 69.5 Lbs, its also one of the lighter 37's around.

My local Discount Tire called BF Goodrich couple days ago to order them and was told it will ship out today or Monday from BF Goodrich. Expected to arrive end of next week or the week after. Price is $358. Though it's so new I'm taking everything with a grain of salt.

Glad to hear that. I ordered the current 37 in ko2s and should be delivered Monday. Already speaking with my tire rep to return them and get the new C loads instead.

This is what I've been waiting for!! My e-rated ridge grapplers are terrible. Ride is atrocious. Love the look and performance, but my god are they stiff. Ordering these monday with some new wheels!

Here's a comparison chart on the KO2's from BFGoodrich site. The 285s and 315s are also marked "new" but I'm guessing it's a re-labelling exercise and the tires aren't materially different? 🤷‍♂️

Interestingly from a weight perspective it's pretty much a wash once you go bigger than the stock Rubicon 285s. It's hard to imagine between 315s and 39s there is only 9% weight difference. And the 39 and 37 weigh the same (both load D) but one is 2" taller and 1" wider. This all seems to challenge conventional wisdom. As more people get these new tires it'd be great to post their actual weight on here. :like:

[Edit: Included the calculated diameter based on manufacturer's revs/mile figure]

Definitely check & use the rot/mile rather than the published diameter for a more accurate size comparison. BFG'S published values are optimistic at best.

Size
285/70
Rev/MI
635
Diam(in)
31.8
35/12.560233.5
37/12.5 C56935.4
37/12.5 D56935.4
39/13.5 D54037.3

This is good info, but real measurements mounted on the Jeeps and compared to other tires, seems to indicate the KO2 are much smaller than the specs.

I was fully prepared for my 37 KO2s to measure Ëś35" under the Jeep, but I was not prepared for the 34" that I got. For the road it is great. For the offroading that I do (most friends on true 37s and up) it is lacking.

Your comment had me curious so I just went outside and measured my stock Ko2s (285/70) and they do indeed seem to measure 31.8 as the rev/mile chart indicates. That makes me hopeful that when my 37s arrive, they too will match the 35.4 listed on the chart.

Is there anyone on this thread that ordered these new 37s from Discount Tire? My local store says they first have to contact corporate to get the pricing which will take a few days.

If someone's local store has already done that leg work, I can just ask my local store to call that store to get the price and get my order moving faster.

This morning Discount Tire sent me this:

"I called BFG Today and they said they have some of the 37x12.50R-17 C MPN 80088 is available. They cost $382.00 each in the C load rating."
Did you happen to order these from Discount Tire? I'm trying to find a branch that's already been advised by their corporate office the price to sell to the public
