  1. Rubicon Trail - White Knuckle Off Road Sliders Review

It was a lot of fun wheeling and spending outdoor time with the kiddos. And what place to do it at the Rubicon.
  2. Rubicon Trail - White Knuckle Off Road Sliders Review

Took the kids on the Rubicon Trail with Jeep Jamboree group this weekend! Amazing wheeling and incredible job by the organizers! Got these White Knuckle Off Road rock sliders with steps so the kids (4 and 8 year old) could climb in. They’re true frame mounted which is rare. Does not mount on...
  3. Versatility of the Jeep

Few months ago I let go of my 2 door firecracker red Rubicon and welcomed a 4 door hydro blue Rubicon. They each of their own merits and I love each for different reasons. Since I put 3.5" lift and 37s on the 4 door I got a chance to stretch out its legs. Doing some wheeling and getting stuck...
  4. Can the Jeep keep up with the Porsches?

I installed a the short shift kit on my 991. That was the most involved mod I've done. Little did I know it was preparing me for my future Jeep ownership.
  5. Can the Jeep keep up with the Porsches?

Yes it's nuts! The Porsche market is hot. My Jeep also went up in value. I bought my 2018 JLR 6% under invoice. I've owned it for 3.5 years and drove 20K miles. If I sell it today privately (or even dealer trade in) the value is higher than what I bought it for. So my Jeep is doing pretty darn...
  6. Can the Jeep keep up with the Porsches?

I sold mine recently. No more track days for me since the Jeep certainly isn't stable enough for that. 911s are kind of like the Wranglers from holding their value. I owned it for 6 years and sold it for more than I bought it for.
  7. Can the Jeep keep up with the Porsches?

This is a Rubicon (so no LSD) and the lockers were not engaged. The front lifted with a proper launch - just a tiny bit of tire chirp but not excessive. I am rolling on 37s and 2" spacer lift. The higher COG probably helped the front tires lift. Offroad I totally imagine a 4 door is more...
  8. Can the Jeep keep up with the Porsches?

It appears that way but it's fairly negligible. I'm definitely burning more gas money than tire money. :) The skid pad (donuts) for instance is soaked down by a water truck so there isn't much friction to wear the rubber. I never knew about the wheel lift off the ground. Somebody had to take a...
  9. Can the Jeep keep up with the Porsches?

For me my JLR is my daily driver, what I wheel with, and it moonlights as a little sports car. For those who have intention to let the tail end get loose, this is another reason to get the Tazer JL. It let's me completely kill stability control, traction control, and ABS.
  10. Soft Top window blowing out

Yes and no. Yes the PVC reinforcement grabs tightly and doesn't let the c-channel slip off. But the tip of the rod is actually separate from the rest of the rod, it just pops in and held in place by friction. With the PVC reinforcement helping the c-channel grab onto the rod tightly, over time...
  11. 37" tires on a 2 door JL...silly looking?

So many good looking 2 doors on 37s in this thread. I'll add a few "dirty pics" of mine in its element. These 37 KO2 (run a bit on small side) are a match made in heaven for our 2 doors. I'm running AEV 2" spacer lift. Certainly doesn't look silly next to the obstacles it's going to tackle :like:
  12. New Raptor Load Range C 37s?

Get the 37s. :like: They are essentially size 36s that are lighter than everyone's 35s. With 2.5" lift looks perfectly balanced. If you go 35s (which are closer to size 34s) there's a chance you'll want to go up and do it twice. Regearing a Rubicon (4.10 factory gears) seems unnecessary on the...
  13. New Raptor Load Range C 37s?

I haven't measured it but it should be right under 4" taller than factory. 2" from the tires 2" from the spacer lift Subtract a tiny bit from the steel bumpers, winch, and heavier spare The ride is great, it's basically factory with slightly improved bump absorption from the taller sidewalls...
  14. New Raptor Load Range C 37s?

My opinion is that a Rubicon does not need to immediately regear. Drive it for a week and you make the call. Your decision will be dependent on how you intend to use your Jeep. Just for reference when you go to these KO2 37s on your Rubicon it's going to drive similar (in terms of peppiness) to...
  15. New Raptor Load Range C 37s?

Had a chance to take them wheeling in rocks this weekend. They’re great. Surprise surprise they work just like the factory KO2 only taller and wider. I air down to 10psi and love how the sidewall gets flexy.
  16. New Raptor Load Range C 37s?

Just installed the AEV 2" spacer lift yesterday. Some pics to give an idea what these KO2 37s look like with a small lift. It's one step up from the recently announced Xtreme Recon factory package (35s and 1.5" lift). Honestly would have been a good chance for Jeep to leapfrog the Bronco by...
  17. Anyone using Rough Country Diff Skid Plate?

Just installed mine this morning. Mine looks like that front and rear where the bracket doesn't reach down far enough. All other fitment of these skids seem great including the alignment of the diff bolts. Mine's a Rubicon M210 front M220 rear. I don't believe there's anything structurally...
  18. New Raptor Load Range C 37s?

I really don't think you'll have issue driving till your lift gets here. You might take your condo ramp slower but it's unlikely you'll get close to rubbing. In this photo I got rubbing when the stock flex is maxed out. It's pressed against my bump stop and can't flex anymore. I've been street...
  19. New Raptor Load Range C 37s?

@jlang see my posts earlier with these tires. Mine is stock Rubicon 2 door V6. It takes surprisingly good amount of flex. Shouldn't take it rock crawling but daily drive should be fine till your lift gets here. I'm driving mine until my spacer lift gets installed...
  20. New Raptor Load Range C 37s?

Yeah I'm curious to hear what height others get as they mount these new tires. Using the same ruler-on-top method. Whether the vehicle's weight really impacts the height a lot. @gato you're running the Load D which is a variable. By chance do you have a lot of miles on them that's worn down the...
