I ordered the attached from the factory for the X. Does anyone know it it will safely and securely accommodate a 35” spare?

That's true. My girl hops in fine, but my boy, I have to carry him up. He's much heavier than her, and for the breed (jindo), but he's not even fat, he has thick shoulders and neck. About 65 lbs and girl is 42 lbs.I own a 2019 Raptor with 35’s and a 2021 Raptor with 37’s. I ordered the 37, but in hindsight, I like the 35 tires much more. Just a couple of reasons;
my dogs egress and ingress is much easier on their bodies that is most important too me. Yes 33’s will be easier as well, but I mitigated the body stress with collapsible steps. The other reason is the 35 handles much better in curves at freeway speed. Lastly, the 35 is easier for me to see over the hood and easier to enter/exit…37’s are just too large for me!
I love the look of your Jeep and I want a similar look, but with smaller tires!
Prior to the Afghanistan withdrawal, I was employed as a defense contractor. After I got old, my employer sent me to Europe to learn to train dogs. I also deployed and worked dogs In Iraq and Afghanistan. Both of my Malinois have numerous “squirter” apprehensions. It’s a rough life for a dog. Up and down, in and out,…..takes its toll. All of my vehicles, including the the Polaris SXS, have been modified at great expense to reduce physical and mental impact on my dogs. I will do the same with the Wrangler. I want my dogs to live a happy healthy life and I spare no expense. I have had a couple of Blanton’s, so bare me. I attached two pic’s, the first is behind the front seats of my 21 Raptor, the other is in the bed. Regardless, I am more than stoked about the Wrangler! I just want a vehicle that is easy to maneuver, comfortable, looks badass and makes me feel young again! TMI, but I dont care! Lastly, thank you Jeepers for all the information provided, I’m sure I will have more questions…….SORRY!That's true. My girl hops in fine, but my boy, I have to carry him up. I do agree it's more controllable on 33 or 35s, but 37s look perfect! Why I went 38s haha! I drive slow on the highway anyways, and I feel it's still responsive.
Have you seen the video of the car hitting the gladiator on the highway and flips over?gladiator barely budged and lost a fender. Big tires help sometimes.
I read through the first page of responses and I agree with the sentiment of leaving it stock. However the one thing I didn't see is to lower the air pressure in those stock tires. The dealership is going to give it to you with 37PSI (minimum). Lower it down to 32ish cold and it will ride pretty damn well.I just ordered a 2 door Rubicon X, my first Jeep. I live in Boise Idaho and went to a local (Bucks) 4x4 shop that specializes in Wranglers. They advised me to switch to 35” tires and change the suspension, amongst other things. Bucks told me it could ride on the street like a Cadillac. I’m old and spent much of my time in the Middle East, so I like comforts. I’m not going to rock crawl, but I intend to hit fire trails. I plan to remove the rear seat for my two Malinois. I took delivery of the attached today, nets will not work for Malinois. To the question, basically I want it to look cool, drive well and be dog friendly. Bucks told me it will take about $12k and I’m good with it, but I don’t want to take it in the shorts as well. Can the Wrangler ride like a Tahoe? Will 35’s make it more prone to roll? What are some specific upgrades I can have installed to achieve my goal. I don’t know how to turn a wrench, so please be kind! Many thanks!

I just bought my 1st jeep, ever…a 2024 Rubicon. I flew to La & drove it back to NC. As a former Caddy owner…no, it doesn't drive like a Caddy but why would you want it to? Kinda defeats the purpose of buying a Jeep? Anyhoo, before I joined this forum all I dreamed of was buying a Jeep, lifting it at least 3” & throwing some 37s on it. After 1 week in the forum I knew that would be a bad move. I'm a newbie as well but listen to wisdom when it’s spoken. The biggest tires my Jeep will ever see is 35s…AFTER I have worn down the stock 33s that came with it. My rig rides smooth stock & I don't see myself venturing to far from it. Enjoy what you have & get some seat time in before you make changes. As far that shop you're dealing with? RUN Forest RUNI just ordered a 2 door Rubicon X, my first Jeep. Everything you stated is spot on, except my current war is with time. The clock is ticking incredibly fast! I never thought I would live to be 67, but here I am and it sucks!I read through the first page of responses and I agree with the sentiment of leaving it stock. I ran my 2 door Rubi stock for over a year and it was more than capable especially I'd I had only been on fire roads. I eventually went up to 37s and a 3.5" Metalcloak Gamechanger lift. I'm in for about 8-10 grand for the lift, tires, wheels and installation.
I'm thinking 12grand for what you have described seems a bit much. Also since you've already told them you don't know much my guess is they aren't planning on a top tier lift but that just my opinion.
I'd love a malinois! My yard couldn't contain one however.Prior to the Afghanistan withdrawal, I was employed as a defense contractor. I'd say ole "Bucks" is trying to bend you over. To just run fire roads, you don't need to do anything to Rubicon X. It already looks cool and can do a lot more than fire roads, stock.I just ordered a 2 door Rubicon X, my first Jeep. Wow…your red dog looks just like my Carolina dog! I know they have similar DNA…I'd love a malinois! My yard couldn't contain one however.
Perhaps in the future when I have a better yard.
My jindos are unique, they're not fully domesticated, meaning their genetics are more wolf/coyote. Also their olfactory is the same as wolves, why they were suggested for LAPD. but they have too much prey drive and unable to focus on work if they were to see any animal/dogs.
In Korea, they use to use them to hunt bears and siberian Tigers, as firearm hunting is illegal.
There a lot of Spitz breeds. The most I believe.Wow…your red dog looks just like my Carolina dog! I know they have similar DNA…

Yes it will be fine for 35" tires. The mopar hinge-gate reinforcement and the spare tire relocation kit (which shifts the spare tire mount up a couple inches) is what comes included with the "Xtreme 35 Tire" package; which is what replaced the Xtreme Recon package. That option changed because they essentially put some of the XR package options built into the Rubicon X and then the tires, gate reinforcement, relocation kit were optioned separately because they didn't make them standard on the 2 door nor the manual transmission versions of the Rubicon X.I ordered the attached from the factory for the X. Does anyone know it it will safely and securely accommodate a 35” spare?

Thanks for the info, but for clarification please confirm the hinge reinforcement I ordered from the factory has the ability to also relocate the spare? The website didn’t really explain it. In fact, I’ve ordered a lot of vehicles in my time and the Jeep website is probably the worst I have ever used. I’m sure the Wrangler can do fire roads as is, but I am also aiming for an aggressive, but not over the top look. Some on this forum said I don’t need a lift for 35’s, but others indicated I do need a lift. I prefer no lift and will have Les Schwab demonstrate the reason they say a 3” is needed. I also don’t get the reason Schwab told me “spring lift”, in fact, I don’t even know lift options. I’m just want to educate myself as much as possible before the X arrives. Many thanks!Yes it will be fine for 35" tires. The mopar hinge-gate reinforcement and the spare tire relocation kit (which shifts the spare tire mount up a couple inches) is what comes included with the "Xtreme 35 Tire" package; which is what replaced the Xtreme Recon package. That option changes because they essentially put part of the XR package built into the Rubicon X and then the tires, gate reinforcement, and relocation kit were optioned because they didn't make them standard on the 2 door nor the manual transmission.
They were very briefly available on the 2 door with the 2.0L turbo back in January if I recall correctly but that didn't last very long.
I also have the JLURX auto which included the 1.5" lift and Xtreme 35" tire package. I'd personally agree with the others who said just leave it as is. For what you've described the stock 33" tires will do fine. Drive it as-is through the powertrain warranty and when your stock shocks are due for replacement then look at replacing them with something like the Fox 2.5s or Falcon SP2 3.3s or similar; and possibly a small lift that is short arm and uses the factory mounts. You don't need much lift at all on the stock Rubicon X JLU to go to 35's.
