Hi @JeepCares , my story starts from here first my jeep’s dashboard showed “abs light” for which I checked with my dealership, they said it needs new abs module which doesn't cover in warranty and they also said its okay to drive it with precautions. After driving for few days without replacement of new abs module..one day my jeep showed all these lights on dashboard and the shifter got stuck on Park then i turned off my jeep and started with “ remote start “ then shifter starts working . also whenever i starts my jeep with “remote start” , it only stays ON for few seconds. On last Thursday, i took my jeep to the same dealership, so they can install new abs module and they did , after that my jeep worked fine for few days but today morning when I started my jeep , all those lights showed again, the dealership charged me $ 852.24 for installation of new abs module , and still not fixed

my jeep info: 2018 jlu bought few months ago in with 56,000 miles on it

Does it really cost >$850 to replace the ABS module…? ?

And to do it at a price >$445 for labor…? ?

And that didn’t even fix the problem…? ?

I’d have the batteries load tested. The JL’s have a reputation for acting weird when the batterie get old/low voltage. ABS module should NOT trigger the other issues you’ve cited.

Bring the vehicle to another dealership and ask for the main and aux battery (if you have one) to be load tested. If you don't want to do that, there are other places like Napa, Advance Auto, Auto Zone, etc., that should be able to do it.

That being said, you have a 2018 and if you have the original batteries they are well beyond their useable lifespan. You have 2 options:

1. Have your main and aux batteries replaced.
2. Replace your main battery and bypass the aux battery.

You can find the steps to bypass your aux battery here:

The OP was given great advice on another Thread he started on the same problem. He chose to ignore the suggestions. He's willing to throw $ at it but do no basic maintenance. I'm not sure he can be helped.

Thanks for your time that u spent writing this. firstly i dont know much about car parts. So i dont know how to make it use of those suggestions . And secondly, i bought it few months ago ,those problems should not accur specially in the first year and i prefer if something happens. The dealership should look it first , its their responsibility . Anyway , thanks yall for your suggestions and i gonna check with dealership today again .

*I think I deserve help

Its probably a 3-4hr job and the tech only gets paid a fraction of what the Dealer actually charges.

If you are willing to beat the shit out of your body for years there is good money to be made in it but its not really fun work.

You bought a used 2018 with 56,000 miles on it. There is no expectation that there would not be issues, especially if you have the original factory batteries.

The dealership should look it first , its their responsibility .
Basic vehicle maintenance is your responsibility. Did you buy the Jeep from this dealership? If you didn't, it is not their responsibility.

Just a bit of advice - No one "deserves" anything. You earn what you get.

You’ve been given a lot of great advice in both threads. The answer is replace both batteries, or eliminate the aux battery and replace the main. The dealer will not eliminate the aux for you, even if you ask them to. The dealer will charge you anywhere from $500 to $1500 to replace both.

If you started with the battery issue first, I doubt the ABS pump would have needed replaced. All of your issues are most likely due to weak batteries.

The help you deserve has been provided. You chose to ignore it and seek an answer to your problem elsewhere. It’s too bad the dealer service depts are so bad. All they do is scan, find a code and replace the part the code was from, most times they don’t look into why the code was set.

How much it cost if I replace both batteries by myself ? And is it easy to do it?

It's easy. Look in the battery section on this forum. If you can change a tire, or do you own oil changes, you can replace the batteries. Both will cost around $300-$350 at an auto parts store such as O'Reilly's.

I highly suggest just replacing the main battery with an H7 94R, and bypassing the aux. Once again, you will find a thread in the battery section on how to do it. Bypassing the aux and just putting a new H7 in will cost about $200.
